Genuinely interested to see what the thinking is on the ownership side of things.
The major difference between Clearlake and Roman is that Roman basically let Chelsea run up a huge bill that never got paid off, are Clearlake going to be okay with doing the same?
They’re already at around 400m in transfer spending since they took over and that doesnt include wages etc.
A real issue for these cunts is that their squad over the next 2 to 3 years will need 10+ quality players to be competitive with the top sides again so that’s probably close to another 1B in spending and that’s if they get it 100% correct. Another manager change, a couple of poor moves like the one for Nkunku that theyre linked to and that 1B quickly grows even further.
Think they’re in a really bad spot despite Boehly throwing cash around like it’s nothing.
