Cesc Fabregas

Goes for RvC as well.

Remember when the cunt came on at Anfield when we lost in the CL with bandaged legs.

Cunt.

Not his fault at all. It’s the club’s responsibility to make sure they get good value for a player, and not cave in and sell for peanuts.

What we got for Cesc was embarrassing.

All debates and opinions aside, arguably one of the best midfielders to have played in this league.

They had a buy back clause. If Arteta and Edu were at the helm they’d have used the clause (that’s what it’s fucking there for) and sold Cazorla, Ramsey, or Wilshere.

I was a huge Ramsey supporter but I’d have sold him with a heavy heart just to have the reunion with Cesc. Wenger wasn’t built like that though and placed his faith in failure.

Potentially wingers biggest ever mistake in my book, not resigning him was an obvious mistake in real time not just hindsight.

The fact he then led chelsea to the title only made it a bigger fuck up.

Biggest? Hmmm nah there was too many bad transfer decisions leading up to that which would’ve changed the seasons afterwards. Starting with losing Ashley Cole then trusting bums like Denilson or losing all our steel in Diarra/Gilberto/Flamini in 6 months. Or Wenger trying to copy Barcelona style of play.

Then we want to talk about after that…phew that season we only signed Cech eh…

Was just interviewed by Ornstein about Como at Web Summit 2023, which is weird given it’s a tech conference lol

Cesc def went to Turkey. Look at that hair. Looks pretty good imo.

:eyes: Haven’t watched it yet, but I find it funny how so many ex-Arsenal players who left under strange circumstances when we needed them most, keep stanning for our club after they’ve retired.

No Como.

Don’t find it strange at all.

You play for clubs like Barca and Chelsea after being part of The Arsenal family it seems perfectly natural to me that you might end up pining a bit for what you had here.

Players in their mid 20s are practically halfway through their careers and have to make big career and life decisions at a time a lot of us are barely starting out in ours. Just seems very natural to me when they look back they can have regrets.

Great more bullshit about that era.

Cesc got peer pressured by his Spanish national teammates to make the move. He would have been better off waiting for Xavi to retire first.

Going on strike didn’t help, either :frowning:

I wish you did also Cesc.

Watching these vids is proper nostalgic. The way he was playing at 17 yrs of age was insane when you think about it now. Can’t remember the last time a player that young played fairly regularly for a top Premier League side - maybe Foden.
