Cesc Fabregas

Getting nostalgic are you?

Always

The way this little cunt left and how he ended at Chelsea have erased all good memories I had of him.
He can fuck off, don’t want any posts related to him in the vicinity of my eyes.

I hate him a lot.
That Chelsea sting will forever sting.

If I were to make my favourite XI of all-time though, he’s still in there strangely enough. Too special a player that struck a chord with Arsenal fans.

He was 18, a couple of months away of being 19, so not really 17. :hipster:

It’s crazy he was doing all of this at such a young age. What a talent we were blessed to watch play for the club.

Bizarrely I am tempted to place a fit Ramsey over creative players, since we already have Ode.

Fabregas, easily. Can match (or even beat) Odegaard for scoring ability but outdoes him by miles on the creativity front. Fabregas pulling the creative strings in front of Rice/Partey, with Odegaard further ahead doing his usual thing would be an insane midfield.

Not really for me.
Ode doesn’t even bring that much creativity most of the time. Mostly a dribbler/presser, his distribution and creation is waay to inconsitent and way below all of those except for Ramsey.

Cesc, no brainer.

Fabregas, every time.

All those 4 were really versatile btw. Could slot in various positions effortlessly.

I’d take Fabregas even if he was blind. He’s at least 2-3 levels above everyone else we’ve had in that position bar Ozil.

It’s not his fault for joining Chelsea… maybe if Wenger wasn’t so stubborn he could’ve just bought him back for a cheeky Ā£35m or whatever the release clause was for Arsenal.

But it was his fault for forcing Wenger/Arsenal to sell him to Barca for a pittance…

I agree, he was stupid for doing that. We should’ve got at least Ā£50m for him back then.

I just cant understand blaming the player for this. Was on the club to hold firm.

I do think that a fully fit Rosicky (which, unfortunately, was never possible) would have been fckin supreme and better than the other 3 midfielders in that graphic.

Can you imagine prime Rosicky in that Havertz/Xhaka role? :fire::fire:

I was just thinking that- a like-for-like replacement for Havertz, Rosicky would be delish

Liked Rosicky but he wouldn’t of been better than Cesc. Even with him doing a runner the bastard.

However him being available after January (I think that was when he was ruled out) during 07-08 would’ve been a massive help.
