The way their supporters on Reddit are going on you’d think Veltman was some genius who tricked Rice into getting sent off. I already didn’t like them because of that internet scrotum Andy Naylor, but I really hope their season unravels.
Max 4 years before they’re back in the Championship according to the guess I made last year ![]()
Their scouting network has been key for their progress. If they are abandoning that, it would mean there is a lot of value in the data model approach.
I didn’t think scouts were replaceable in a game so subjective. However, enough footage is available for every player these days.
I wonder which club sacked a bunch of their scouts first? ![]()
Trendsetters FC.
Can’t remember exactly when I predicted Brighton would be back in the Championship within 5 years but nice to see them make another step in that direction.
Blooming mad decision.
Trying to see what an en masse firing is supposed to achieve. I mean, their scouting has been more than decent to this point. As usual, the old more than meets the eye applies here.
As is being mentioned above, their scouting has done well over the years. Brighton throwing the old “if it ain’t broken” saying out of the window.
Tbf, if he was that smart he would have burnt it during the half time of that game at least… :jorginho:
If true what a
he set them up to fail
Was a very naive approach he made them use
Was thinking they’re going to get rinsed when I saw the line up
To be fair to Doogie Hurzeler M.D. it’s the sort of thing Arteta would have done on Amazon Prime a couple of seasons ago…
…except we wouldn’t of got beat 7-0 in the first place.
He really is a nutcase.
Edit: Man Utd need to sign him. Him, Cunha and Bruno produce unforgettable moments together.
When is the demand for crazy fees gonna backfire on Brighton and agents of new signings getting reasonably priced release clauses in the contracts?

Brighton are in the position where they’re signing talents that are probably not in the scope of the big clubs as being HUGE talents. So the allure of a club with a proven pathway to the first team for young talents and the fact its Premier League exposure means Brighton can continue to get away without being forced to offer RC’s in cm tracts.
How long can Brighton carry on selling big and buying small?
I do wonder though as a fan of Brighton how long until they really start to ask the club to be a bit more ambitious? Surely there’s only so long you can be in the same position before fans start to demand you keep ahold of the top talents and you actually try to win trophies and whatnot.
Football has never been about seeing your club flip transfers. It’s not what the fan signs up for
Yeah that’s the point mate, a lot of players will go there purely because the club is viewed as a stepping stone, but then Brighton makes it hard for them to move on with crazy demands.
