Brighton

Some fans may think this way but under Tony Bloom they’ve gone from League One to the PL and playing in Europe for the first time in their history

This is what’s gotten them so far tbf

But yeah ultimately fans may want to see more ambition but as we’ve seen it’s a tight rope you’re walking when you’re trying to do that without ridiculous outside investment

Listen I absolutely agree. And we’ve seen many times fans clamour for ambition and then it ends up backfiring and they’re back down in the lower leagues.

Just curious as to how fans will feel in a few seasons if things stay the same. Brighton are obviously an A grade club at identifying talent and they’re bringing in an absolute fortune that surely at some point fans are gonna start wanting something to actually celebrate.

True dat

Also, the other question of how long can this magic touch last? Southampton used to be similar in some respects and also Leicester too and look at them now

I think Brighton is run better than both but if they have a few barren spells in talent acquisition it could get a bit sticky.

They did spend a crap ton of money last summer but funnily enough not too many of those signings have proved to be successful yet, I don’t think Baleba was one of them either.

It’ll catch up with them eventually but making some healthy profit in the meantime.
