Black Lives Matter Movement

Well yeah take the point about football. Can also see this in other matters such as tax evasion without any repercussions imposed on top names in the game. Messi, CR7, Mourinhio and an overall silence of fans in general.
Okay leave it there otherwise its to far off topic I guess.

Exactly this never ceases to amaze me the amount of ignorance some people have !?

One thing I am proud to see is the sheer number of people starting to involve themselves in the movement. I’m seeing prominent non-black celebrities across the board involving themselves now and trying to raise the awareness of the issue.

I’ll be at the marches this weekend and hopefully they’re loud enough and well attended enough to make a difference.

What is this issue in this? I have heard no criticism from anybody but you lol. The getting down on one knee is a very well publicised show of defiance against white supremacy and in support of the BLM movement

2 questions for all the peaceful protest merchants.

Maybe not on the forum but there is some condemnation of how Liverpool chose to mark respect on this occasion

From who lol? I literally haven’t seen it anywhere and if it does exist it surely has to be less than 1% of the people with any kind of opinion on Liverpool’s stance.

I love what the Liverpool players done and long may it continue.

@Trion

If you’re typing to reply to my posts, which I hope you’re not, don’t bother. I don’t care for what you have to say and I expressly said above I don’t wish to engage with you.

Well suck it.

A peaceful protest or even a violent protest will not bear fruit if there is no end goal to achieve.
First frame the goals to achieve at the end of these protests.

What are the short term goals?
Justice to Floyd & Armaury

What are the mid term goals?
More funding to black community school

What are the long term goals?
…

There is no organization in these protest and lot of chaos. You are asking people guilty of a systematic racism in the system to frame a counter to it.
It’s difficult.

If there is an outline, every black person can demand it and that helps a peaceful protest.

It’s election period and it helps to give the representatives something to work with.

Give them someting vague and they will put one person behind bars and go about their lives with no modifications.

Shit post from a shit person

@DavidHillier Jamie Carragher has since come out and admitted Liverpool made a mistake at the time by wearing the shirts etc.

You engaged bitch

Have a good day mate

If you would actually follow this stuff you would know that it is well organised. There are other factors/people outside of the ‘BLM movement’ (to use an umbrella term) agitating creating chaos.

Stop commenting on stuff you are clearly not well-informed about.

These are the demands.

You think these are properly structured?

It would be interesting to know if the unrest would have gone this far if all the officers were taken into custody initially and the main officer was charged with a more serious offence than third degree murder straight away.

It’s bad that black people die at the hands of the police and that’s going to cause a lot of upset, but the sense of injustice is made many times worse when the police close ranks to protect their own and then dress these cases up as lawful killings because the police report ends up saying the perpetrator said they had a weapon, they were running away, acting suspiciously, intoxicated etc.

Interestingly, it was only Jamie Carragher and only when he was pressed and probed about the shirt wearing.

It’s one of those situations where thinking beforehand would have saved a lot of bother afterwards

I hope they are doing it because they sincerely care and not because of social media clout.

Just to be clear, there are marches going on this weekend in the UK?
