This did remind me that his attention seeking agent was another reason I wasn’t that keen on the guy.

Slovenia isn’t considered “Balkans” by most (or many), as far as I know. It’s roughly the border, although there is no strict geographical border for “Balkans”.

Funny story about Žižek. When I was in grad school I attended a conference at NYU. Žižek was scheduled to talk at a completely separate event the next day but he decided to show up with his entourage to one of lectures early and proceed to eat the hor doeuvres and drink the wine reserved for conference attendees.
My prof, also one of the organizers, stopped everything to walk into the banquet room and proceeded to yell at him for being a slobbering oaf
Hilarious but cringy as fuck because we could all hear her yelling at him.

He’s still very young so worth a punt because he should hold his value but he’s better than what we have so if we don’t get Gykores, then Sesko would be a good alternative.
As I said in the summer, if Sesko is the one the club wants, I am happy to get behind this. From what I’ve been reading, the Arsenal scouts really like him as a player and think he has a high ceiling. Looks like he can finish and also hit a belter from outside the box, so this is encouraging.
There must be some overriding concerns about Gykores and why we haven’t moved for him in the summer or in this window. I’d be happy with us moving for him, but the fact we haven’t either means we are not interested, or the player wants to go elsewhere.

It could be that he’s already agreed to join Amorim at Man U but it does seem strange that considering how desperate we were for a striker, we did nothing in the last window.
It’s such an obvious choice that makes me think he has been ruled out by our scouting team for not being able to adapt to PL or he is off to another club. Saying that, we’ll probably see a transfer notification that we’re in talks to sign him!
