Definitely sounds like they will accept a high bid

No way they would accept a loan with an OPTION to buy lol, doubt we even offered such a deal.

That was a dead giveaway lol

If we buy Sesko, it should be in summer.
If we buy it now, it should be Gyokeres.

It should be Gyokeres anyway, but for some reason it seems we aren’t on that case, have no clue why

Sesko won’t be eligible to play in the CL right, if we buy him in January?

I don’t believe that’s correct. That rule got tossed out a few years ago

Remember Auba? :frowning:

Yea the next year they nixed it

Could’ve used him against Atleti. Still can’t accept that result at home…

Klopp doing his old buddies a solid.

I think what these links to Sesko demonstrates is that the club have a very clear list of transfer targets in the positions that they want to strengthen and this is built on a high level of scouting and player analysis. Zubimendi backs this up too. Shows that the recruitment department at Arsenal are absolutely on it. Very reassuring from my perspective.

As for the player, I think the striker position, while absolutely critical for us, is also the most difficult. Linked with lots of players but no guarantee that any of them will be able to come into the team and make it in the PL. Got to trust the club in their judgement.

He’s still quite raw but he has a good mix of technical and physical attribute; he’s a relentless runner and all round nuisance for defences.

Think he’ll become a top striker. Not sure he’d be a difference maker this season, but I’d be on board for Sesko coming in.

Despite not being clinical, he doesn’t know how to score a thunderbastard from time to time!

Having targets and getting them are two very different things. Recruitment is all about identifying the right talent and the right fit for us (budget, profile, skill). I wouldn’t be reassured until we get the right players.

My point was more that we have clear targets, and as with Zubimendi and Rice beforehand, we have targeted and put a plan together how to secure them. The reports on Sesko all mention that Arteta has been in touch with the player, as with Rice and Zubimendi.

Buying Sesko in this window means we won’t have to see Havertz floundering in front of goal and he’ll also get the rest of this season to adapt to the PL, which makes him a game changer.

Our forward line this season has been underwhelming at best but at the start of next season we’ll have Sesko, Zubimendi, a new LW, and players back from injury, in a top quality forward line.

As well as these signings, we also have young players like MLS and Nwaneri, so we can move on high earners like Zinchenko, Tomiyasu, Tierney, Jorginho, Trossard and possibly Partey.

Has probably already got a new club sorted behind the scenes. I’d imagine he’s one of the most desired strikers in Europe right now in a market devoid of bagsmen
