There are just some doods who aren’t winning players but can fill the stat sheet. Oubre is one of those doods, GSW seem to be taking a punt on a lot of those types in recent history, because they are good trade bait possibly. Wiggins, D’Angelo Russell, and now this guy.
Wiggins has been decent tbf especially on the defensive end.
Oubre is probably playing more than he should for them because Thompson got injured. Averages almost 30 minutes a game. Think as a bench guy he could do a better job for them.
Wiggins was a good fit on paper for them in that Harrison Barnes roll. But I question his basketball iq to do that well. He doesn’t seem to possess any.
Blazers torching the 76ers with Dame, CJ and Nurk out is a strange result.
Oubre on absolute fire for the Warriors tonight.
Great night yesterday for Oubre and the Warriors. All their centers our injured and so they had no player taller than 6’7. Still came through with a big win against a playoff seeding rival.
What has happened to the Mavs this year? Is it just issues with availability?
Dallas are bad so far, Miami not looking good either.
Not sure what’s going on in Dallas, but Miami had to do without Butler for a long time. He only played nice games this season. Adebayo has been a beast, but that team still goes where Butler takes them.
Anyone see the Brooklyn game?
I didn’t see enough to have a take, but the box score makes terrible reading. Issues with KD’s availability aside, Harden takes 8 FG attempts in 39 minutes? WTF
Is he trying to be Chris Paul…score the ball!
New York are 11-13 right now. Would be a great comeback story if he can help the team back into the playoffs for both him and the franchise.
Weird season for Denver. Jokic is beasting, but there now again on a 3 game losing streak. 12-11 record. I think they really need Bol Bol stepping up.
I love how well the Jazz are doing. Great guys, they deserve it.
Having a great regular season, remains to be seen how well that translates to playoffs though.
I think that’s the 3rd straight Lakers OT win @BigWeng_4LYFE, including a Double OT win.
I was so disgusted with the way we were playing in the first half that I just turned it off tonight lol, I suffered through the first OT game on Monday and i still wasn’t happy glad to hear we won it but we shouldn’t be struggling like that against a team like OKC and they didn’t even have SGA playing tonight
Yeah Davis has been out but it still isn’t a good look, means too much is being left to the 2 champs.
My issue since this team has been constructed is that Gasol as our lone actual big man doesn’t cut it. We used to completely block out the paint with Dwight and Mcgee last season, now teams live in the paint against us. I love Montrezl but he’s 6’7 he’s not a center. We fell in love with small ball, when the physical game is what won us the title.
Gasol used to be an absolute all star defensive beast that could pass also, but he is now 36 and really declined immensely in the last 18 months.
Do you make a move this season ? Do you think you’ll miss Rondo playmaking come playoffs ?
James and Davis are that good though you blokes still have a massive chance.
I think we will get someone in the buyout market, just how we got Morris last season. I dont think this team will be exactly the same going into the playoffs. We might be able to snag someone like Robin Lopez from Washington to give us a bit more front court depth. I worry about the productivity of these new guys in the playoffs but as long as we have LBJ and AD it’s gonna be tough to beat us.
When the playoffs come around Davis will play more center. Which he is and should in my opinion. Both Howard and McGee played a lot less minutes in the play offs. Did McGee even participate in the Finals? That problem solves itself I reckon.
As @Aussiegooner says bigger question is if Schroder can replicate what Rondo did. Behind James, Davis and KCP he averaged the most minutes in the Finals I think.
Whatever happens if you have James and Davis and your team you should beat everybody regardless. There is, and this is obviously very arguably, not a more complete duo in the history of the game. To think I gave the Clippers a (better) chance lol.
To my surprise the Blazers are hanging in at 14-10 without our no 2 and no 3 options. Melo turning back the clock yesterday with 17 in the 4th in our 2nd win over Philly in a week.
