Basketball (NBA/ FIBA)

Drummond is not good enough, defensively, to help them win the title. Even if this happens still picking the Lakers.

I think it’s set though we’ll have a Lakers - Nets finals.

Lmao no way in hell are they buying him out. They are in the playoff hunt and he’s also a valuable piece that a team like Toronto or New York would give up assets to acquire at the deadline.

He will be moved because his contract expires this summer and won’t be resigning with the Cavs, but this strikes me a lot like the Iguodala deal last year. Iggy wanted to be a Laker but Memphis would have been stupid just to buy him out and they traded him at the deadline to Miami for some good pieces.

That was a great match that Philly vs Lakers game.

Thought Philly blew it with the Lakers going on a 13-0 run but Tobias Harris clutch go ahead shot with 2.4 to play.

Very good game. Glad to see they managed to pull out a tight one after almost throwing it away.

Denver seems to have figured out. Five wins in a row. Porter Jr on the bench since he’s back from injury.

Brooklyn really needs to figure out how to get stops. 132-128 OT win against the Hawks. I still believe in them getting to the Finals, but the margins their are winning with are way to small.

This Nets team is just like the Nash/Stoudamaire Suns team so far.
Super offense and weak ass defense.
Shine in the regular season but crumble in the playoff.
Wondering if the Nets will be different.

This always bothers me so much. They went to TWO conference finals. Plus they lost 4 series against the Spurs. Arguably the best franchise during that run. Because they didn’t win a title they crumbled?

The Suns’ roster was nothing short of star and good players.

They “crumbled” in the playoffs, because their defense was really suck.
Their best weapon was offence but never able to put up a good and solid defense.
In the regular season, you can score 120, 130 points easily. They won a lot of games by trading baskets, putting up a bunch of 3 pointers.
In the playoff, it is about defense.

Nash was the 2-time MVP at that time, and it was like James Harden’s Rockets.
When you need to shut the opposing team down, need to make a stop, they couldn’t.

It was not a shame to lose to the eventual champion, but it was their defense always let them down.
They could do more if able to tighten up their D when needed.

Jazz playing some really good team basketball.

Nets signed Iman Shumpert and Norvel Pelle. Not two defenders who are going to move the needle you’d think, but any help is welcome for them I reckon.

Crazy way for the Bulls vs Blazers game to end, Dame two 3s in the last 7 seconds taking victory from the jaws of defeat.

Watched Boston vs LA, was a tough match, Brown and Tatum really are getting better and better. If only Kemba Walker was living up to his contract Boston would be legit.

Charlotte really seems to have struck gold with Ball.

Jokic fookin BEAST. 35 points against Utah right now with still a quarter and a half remaining. He’s should get MVP. Gobert is playing btw.

He’s every chance of getting MVP if the Nuggets finish with one of the 5 best records in the league.

All the early momentum is on LeBron for mvp. If he continues at this pace he will be only the 2nd player in history to shoot 50% from the field, 40% from 3 and average 25/7/7 (besides Larry Legend in 1986). Don’t think LeBron can lose it if the Lakers end up one of the top teams. If Denver keep winning tho Jokic will be right there.

They had an incredible brainfart moment at the end though. A rushed inbound pass with 5 seconds to play up two. That was just stupid.

Said it… all offense and no defense.
Anyway, this is show business, people like to see high scoring and ESPN highlights, not tight D.

Warriors Twitter can’t stand Kelly Oubre and well the below tells you why. Several spurned dunks, abysmal shooting from three and he has no understanding of how to play with Steph Curry. Warriors should be looking to trade him.
