Arsenal Women

Not at all. Arsenal are the ones who’ve been caught up with on that front, rather than upping their game to match anyone else. The league has become more professional and Arsenal just aren’t the only show in town anymore.

We’re 2-0 vs Brighton & Hove Albion now, Miedema with the first and McCabe with the second and we’re destroying them (81% possession) :auba:

edit: 3-0 (Mead 70’)
edit: 4-0 (de Donk 76’)

The girls are sealing the deal, away, with determination.

Wait they aren’t all bottle jobs and gutless wonders at Arsenal. To think they had some serious injuries this season, but still got to a cup final and only lost on penos and won the league with a game to go. A young and exciting squad, who wear the club jersey with pride. Arsenal Women deserve a lot more love from Arsenal fan’s on here. A top class and young outfit.

It’s official, Arsenal have won the WSL for the first time in 7 years! :confetti_ball:

Seven years, that’s crazy they used to win it every year before that. I suppose that was before it went full time and other clubs were nicking away our best talent. But congrats to the ladies, they played some out of this world football and considering the injury to some players it’s a well deserved one at that.

She can teach a thing or two to Iwobi about shooting.

What a hit.

Love our women.

The sheikhs tried their shite in the women’s game too, but Arsenal came back.

Big congrats to the girls. Throughly well deserved. People asking if they can play instead of the guys on Thursday

Well done ladies

Wish we had people Leigh in the men’s team. Look how much it means to them.

Congratulations to Arsenal Women. At least one of us can win titles

All of this comparing them to the men’s inability to perform sells them short a bit. I know why people are thinking it today, but first title in seven years. Its way more awesome than just outshining the men

The irony is, that Man City have gone through the entire season unbeaten (one game left which is against us funnily enough), and yet lose the title to us. We lost twice, but didn’t draw any, while City drew 5 times. It’s almost like the men’s League with Liverpool barely losing, but drawing too much could cost them the League too. Quite a highly unusual situation

More good news for the girls, Vivianne Miedema has been named PFA player of the year :+1:

Yes Miedema!

Wish I could watch these matches. It’d be nice to watch a successful Arsenal team.

Why does it feel like they added the cheering?

Nice. No unbeaten season for city!

Amazing that a team that didn’t lose a game until the last day, didn’t run away with the title. Must have drew a ton of games.

Arsenal ladies Won 18 Drew 0 Lost 2. Won the League by 7 clear points. They are very good side that could with the right signings to add to the squad and keep their best players, win a few more titles.

They’ve already lost Dom Bloodworth, one of the Dutch group to Wolfsburg for next season, a bit of a blow but the German League is pretty much the top league to go too in Women’s game and she’s been at Arsenal for a few seasons. Also another Dutch player Sari Van Veenendaal has been let go, no real shock there as she was second choice all season. Hopefully they won’t lose anymore going forward.
