Some people, like me for example, have switched to Bluesky because Twitter is owned by someone who thinks it’s appropriate to do Nazi salutes. I’ve also switched because the dregs of society seem to be on Twitter.
You can actually have conversations on Bluesky that don’t degenerate into arguments. It’s like Twitter used to be when it first started up.
All goes into the same big pot. There was an article a few months ago that said Arsenal Women getting 40k plus at their home games has turned out to be an unexpected new stream of revenue for the club. Though we won’t know how much more until next year’s accounts.
The downside is the pitch looks a bit less carpety this season.
Only if we splash the cash on an Ødegaard replacement as well.
I don’t think Isak is twice the player compared to other available strikers, so if his price tag would exhaust all our budget, I’d rather have another striker and a creative midfielder.
“That’s NOT how we go about things”, one source inside the club said, while senior figures talk of “wanting to be good citizens” in a manner that befits their establishment status.”
If this season is an illustration of the owners showing supporters “how we go about things,” then perhaps don’t buy a PL football club.
If that quote is real and from someone who is a spokesman for the owners, then they should tell the supporters exactly how we’re going to win the title by not spending big.
