We’re getting more money out of CL this season under the new format(with more matches), right?
If we could increase the stadium an add a extra couple millions to the revenue
Yeah, I think the CL revenue number should go up (holding all else equal like the proportion of matches we win and how far we progress).
Matchday revenue will also probably go up slightly as we played only one home domestic cup match this year and most years that number is higher. Plus we’ll be guaranteed one more CL home match in the group/league stage.
It has been said we made over £100m from the CL from various sources i reckon it is reasonably accurate.
Don’t forget that nearly all Arsenal Women matches will be at the Emirates next season.
Purely on a commercial level, the club’s efforts to bring in an additional revenue stream by backing and elevating the status of the women’s team was a stroke of genius. We used to get 20+ sold out matches per year, now it’ll be 30+.
Hopefully that money goes into recruiting and retaining talented women, feels like many of them are on sketchy short contracts and switch clubs a lot more often than men, bribe them to come and stay I say. Become a real top club, battle Lyon and Barca and the likes for #1 status in Europe.
Their pies are incredible! And wrighty’s involved too, what’s not to love.
I will need to try them the next time I go to a game then!
From June 2022 to date 16 first team players have permanently left the club. Those represent a 271.65mil euro spend.
Of those 16; 7 left for free, 5 for under 10mil and only 4 over 10mil euros. A total of 101.15.
Bear in mind rice was 100 alone…And then factor all other signings on top of that…
Writeup by Gunnerblog on the new financial report.
This washes with our position in the new Deloitte money league rankings that were released a few weeks ago. We haven’t been this strong financially for a very long time. Things can go up and down based on who qualifies for CL but 3rd in England and within touching distance of clubs like United, Bayern, and Barca is a huge change from where we stood three or four years ago.
Maybe just me but I can’t take blue square serious lol. If you wanted to still post on a twitter esque site just stay on x bro
Madrid are so clear, damn
It really is hard to believe City pull in that much revenue legitimately.
My thoughts too now this is published and with recent finding on the legality of fair sponsorship, expect next year for them to be top of that pile.
I agree, there’s no way they’re up there with Real Madrid, Bayern, Man U, etc, and If you look at the empty seats at some home games it would seem they use the same accounting system as they do on their transfers.
How have wages gone up so much when all we did this summer was sell esr, nketiah etc and bring in merino, Califori?
Because the accounts are for last year.
New deals for Saka, Odegaard, Saliba. Signed Rice and Havertz on big wages.
Even with all those new contracts that wage bill is still really healthy, fifth in the PL.
