Alexandre Lacazette

Sign da ting

No, he shouldn’t sign da ting and Arsenal shouldn’t offer him da ting.

Hopefully he can help us get back into the Champions League and he can leave on a high.

Na let him leave this project, not healthy for any party involved any more.

Still not convinced about having a striker that can’t score goals bro. It’s starting to cause my physical pain

You’ll get there.

2 year deal in the offing, let’s gooo

Bring in old bad man benzema and I’d happily take another year of Lacazette. Does his best and most clinical work off the bench imo. Will never be able to sustain 80 minutes in the EPl. Most of the shit he fucks up is because he’s tired.

Just saw that chance he missed after the sending off, thank fuck it didn’t cost us like it did vs Burnley.

He has to score those.

Yeah our worst player (again). He’s just too slow. Guy can’t counter attack to save his life. Think he is allergic to cardio.

Cheers Lacazette, didn’t want that second goal and to win 50 quid from my 10/1 2-0 bet.

The collective groan when he missed that :persevere:

The fans absolutely love this guy in spite of it all.

In my mind, I was thinking he needs a “fill yer boots” game. A “gimme”. (Throw in any more footballing cliches you can here). However, there isn’t much opportunity for that now, either, now that we’re out of the FA Cup.

Got to start scoring again, young man.

I’m genuinely surprised you didn’t go for Cedric. :rofl:Coming to terms with Hector leaving?

I still think Cedric is rubbish. But he did grow into the game yesterday.

Debate ongoing whether this was an easy chance.
Surprised people are siding with Laca on this.
Personally, I think Sa did a fantastic job opening up like that. Not an easy chance but Laca should have done much better with it. Perhaps going through the legs would have been the best call there.

Lacazette is probably the worst starting striker we’ve had at the club.
I know Giroud wasn’t great but at least he was only 9m.

Lacazette was our record signing when we bought him and his finishing is nowhere near good enough for a club challenging for a CL place.

At least next season he will have been shifted out.

That image doesn’t do justice to the space Lacazette actually had.

He completely fluffed it.

Decent strike, was unlucky.

Tbf, he is clinical. He has one of the best conversion rates, I believe it’s even better than Auba. Auba used to miss chances even before he signed his new contract. Missing chances is normal. Ronaldo and Kane aren’t burying every chance they get.
The issue is that he doesn’t get many chances and unfortunately that’s down to Laca himself mostly. His presence in the box isn’t great.

I’m not entirely sure if it’s tactical but sometimes Laca comes as deep as the #8s or even #6s. He does well to start attacks but it’s often the case where by the time we’re in and around the box Laca is nowhere to be seen.
A big reason why Auba being an insider forward worked for some time is that he often cut in and was present in the box. That’s the idea with Martinelli too. Gabi did do well initially but he is often missing in the box nowadays too.

Regardless, we need more people in the box. Strangely, we have a winger at our disposal that loved getting into the box and has a knack for scoring goals but sadly he doesn’t feature much nowadays…

Not the biggest fan of DCL but the guy does have presence in the box and is always quick to make his way into the box. I’m sure @Calum would love him here.

Hasn’t got the energy to get back up n in the box is the problem, comes deep even into CM like you said but then plays in the winger and can’t catch up lol

The odd time he does, he’s gassed as fuck.

That should be bread and butter for an Arsenal striker.
