Alexandre Lacazette

What he really needs is Ray Velcro…

Throw in the clubs hashtag to ensure that you can maximise the amount of free stuff you can get out of your son being bullied.

That dad posting on twitter about his overweight, football-playing son missed a trick, could have got a Premier League club to pay for a year’s Slimming World membership.

I really am at my most cynical and grumpy first thing on a Monday morning…

Nah your transition to center left has begun

Not sure I really understand the joke you’re going for here, Trion lol.

Angling for free stuff for your bullied child is left wing?

I don’t think he is.

That’s exactly what I think is being done with the Arsenal hashtag being included and the pic of her son in his shirt outside the ground.

I can appreciate others won’t have interpreted it that way, I did acknowledge my cynicism…

@JakeyBoy

I kinda agree with this. Can’t think of another reason to use the hastag.

Having said that, I don’t think the parents saw this as an opportunity to score free stuff for themselves, but just for the kid. Maybe they were hoping the club will do something like send him a shirt or some goodies. Still free stuff though.

The cynical side of me will see this as another opportunity for the poor kid’s bullies to pick on him.

Can’t help but see it the same way.

My son is getting bullied so I’ll announce it to the world but also include an Arsenal hashtag? Yep makes perfect sense.

The dad was 100% hoping for free shit, be that a shirt or tickets. Stone waller.

Unlucky for them it was Lacazette that reached out and now he’s going to get bullied even worse.

So aren’t you allowed to put the frighteners on the bullies anymore?

Oh I have a huuuge issue with this.

It’s exploitative!

I can see it from both being the kid and parent. If I was getting bullied I would be mortified that may parents plastered a picture of my face online airing my problems to the world. And as a parent the last thing I would want to do is put my kid’s face online as a minor.

Email the club, write the club, they’ll send you some shit if you want free shit.

It makes me so uncomfortable. The same way kids with signs saying “I just finished my homework, can I have your shirt?” What do players do if there are two kids? Five? Twenty? They don’t want to look like assholes. The club doesn’t want bad press. Is some of it genuine? Sure. But there’s definitely some grifting and parents looking for their 15 minutes.

It’s the same way I cannot stand those staged videos where kids are reunited with parents deployed in Iraq. (And not because I was against US involvement)

That Pep clip is hilarious.

Lacazette much like Giroud, a good Plan B. A bad Plan A.

Honestly, I disliked Lacazette from the jump, but under Arteta, I’ve grown to appreciate the heffalump. He’s our heffalump. Te Amo

Cheers Lacazette, didn’t want that second goal cushion, much prefer to age 5 years in 20 minutes

What was that chat he had with Arteta when he came off? Probably lasted a good 30-60 seconds.

The complete stillness of movement on Smith-Rowe’s counter burst was so bad. Get Nketiah or Pepe on if we’re a goal up with 30 mins to go. I get we need him from the start but can never excuse a PL player having such little energy over 90 mins.

Seriously he didn’t even try to stay with the run. I hope that’s what Arteta asked him about.

The miss was just classic Laca wasting a bread and butter chance having waited all game for one. Inexcusable.

yeah I think ideally that’s Martinelli in the middle on the counter…if he was not sent off.

Can’t be putting Pepe on when we’re 10 men down holding on like that.

No new contract.
