Alexandre Lacazette (signed!)

Is uncle Tony, reliable about this rumor? He played many years in France…right?

Am i the only one there that would rather Yedder? He looks a really hot prospect and already has numbers comparable to Lacazette and looks far more skillful than him. I think Yedder could be another suarez type but by the time we realise it he will be going for big money. I could be very wrong as i only have stats to look at and his gameplay on youtube but there is something about Yedder that makes me think he will be a top striker in the suarez mould. Maybe he wont be ELITE but i reckon he would be 25+ goals a season with Arsenal, i am just not sold with Lacazette…yes he scores goals but each time i see him on TV or in matches he has been shit looking.

Surely there has to be a reason as well that he has never been called up for France when Gignac have been…him for £40m i think is a waste when we can get Yedder for half that and looks the better player. I think Yedder with Ozil etc behind him can be immense considering toulouse are relegation fodder in France and he still managed around 20 goals with shit players around him. I thought we bought that Leicester scout to find gems like this kid, but we leave gems that are staring at us in the fucking face for overpriced players that dont seem that much better than average (hopefully if he comes he will prove me so very wrong).

Yedder already moved to Sevilla.

Gameiro also wasn’t called up to the French national team and he’s miles better than Gignac

Deschamps isn’t the best manager and he has a penchant for tall, slow target men as his forwards. The fact Lacazette didn’t get in just demonstrates his ineptitude.

This is all moot since Yedder is no longer available.

I Know, I was just stating that I don’t know why we are after this guy when that guy was so much cheaper, younger, more skilled looked a better talent and looks like he could develop maybe into an elite talent. This is what I thought we bought that scout in for. It is like we can’t see talent if it walked up and teabagged our fucking face…whats the point on saying we are looking for the next big player and all the blatantly talented cheap players fuck off elsewhere and become world class whilst we overspend on average talents…then the obvious talents like Griezmann go elsewhere turn world class which anyone could he was a special player and then hear the ‘we nearly signed XYZ’ JUST FUCKING SIGN THE PLAYER WHEN YOU HAVE THE FUCKING CHANCE.

You watch, soon Yedder will be a big name and worth £75m plus after tearing it up…and out will come the same rhetoric, we could have had an immense talent for just over £10m but it isn’t seen but somehow we spend more than that on the likes of Chamberlain and Chambers and spunk our money up the fucking wall giving utter shit like Walcott huge wages…infuriates the living fuck out of me!

I reckon all of this is down to Wenger basically not wanting to sign definite talents because he won’t get much credit for it. If he gets a player like Sanogo and somehow makes him world class he can then go around and say ‘look what I did’ but with a player like Yedder you can see it in him so he can’t take as much credit.

The best thing about the transfer window is the amount of speculation that goes into reading Wenger’s mind :gunnersaurus:

Frustrated at still being at Lyon? LOL

Works for SSN. Don’t know if this is reliable or not though.

STILL GUNNING FOR LACAZETTE

Arsenal remain interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette and will make an improved offer for the Lyon forward, according to Sky sources.

Manager Arsene Wenger is keen to strengthen his squad ahead of the new season, but saw a bid in the region of £30m for Lacazette rejected by the Ligue 1 club last week.

Lacazette, who has scored 48 league goals over the past two seasons, signed a new four-year contract to remain at Lyon only last August.

And club president Jean-Michel Aulas said last night that they plan to offer him a new deal to show he is one of their “greatest assets”.

Our former players, when were focused to leave the squad, have started a war to be sold. When we need to sign players, there are ever quite and calm.

If Lacazette wants to join Arsenal, needs to unlock the situation with Aulas.

Without a right winger, this signing is same as playing with Giroud.
He is a great addition to the squad but a marginal improvement to first team.

We can’t go into the season with Giroud alone as a CD (Theo…heh) so this signing should happen.
But unless by some internal solution miracle, we solve the right wing solution or we sign a genuine right winger; we would have a difficult season.

Wenga, do something. Quickly.

Yeah spot on and that’s why Mahrez needs to be signed along with this bloke.

I agree.
Mahrez would be brilliant for the team but ideally we also need him and a striker that can play and finish the chances that players like Ozil, Sanchez, Cazorla and Mahrez are going to make.

It might be more than Wenger has ever spent in one window but he has spent very little in the last couple of windows and we could even sell Walcott to help fund it.

Let’s face it, he isn’t going to get much playing time with that amount of quality in front of him, so we might as well get some money for him, and get a top quality RW, that knows what they’re doing.

If arsenal was a dude in a pub he couldn’t lay the pub slut because he would be ready to do shit and nothing would happen . Arsenal dont wanna discard that backstreet boy image

That’s a bit distasteful.

The more I think about Lacazette the less enthused I get about the fact that he is who we are going to get. No one is going to fear him, and he’s not scoring 20+ next season which is required to win the league. I saw that clubs were bidding for Cavani and I didn’t see any “he’s not for sale” rebuttals and Aubameyang hasn’t moved yet. Why the fuck aren’t we in there with a fat 60 million bid for Auba? Because he won’t come here? A boy can dream can’t he?

Aubameyang’s mother is Spanish and he promised his dad he would play for Madrid. E.g. he’s got bigger targets than us and in the meantime playing for Dortmund isn’t too bad.

The question isn’t why don’t we go after Aubameyang now but rather why the hell didn’t we sign him from Ligue 1, or even why didn’t we go harder after him last summer.

Signing Lacazette wouldn’t have me running to the betting houses to bet on Arsenal but there’s potential there and I’m confident he’d represent a tangible upgrade on Giroud.

I think he’s being slept on by some bigger clubs to a degree and as such could surprise many.

He would be what Wenger wrongly hoped Walcott would be, quick, lethal on the counter and a very good finisher. Plus he’s two footed, strong and can dribble.

When Fekir went down with the ACL he still finished with repeatable numbers despite the fact they had forged quire a fruitful partnership. I don’t see it as a forgone conclusion he couldn’t score the 20 plus goals considering his attributes and us having some of the best creative players in the league.
