Just £4.8m too.
I loved Aaron Ramsey. Great player for us and loved those special FA Cup winning moments at Wembley.
I liked him too, fancy flicks an’ all. But then there’s my Welsh bias, as well.
Same here, haven’t got it in me to hate on my fellow countryman like most, very rare we have any Welsh players.
Clutch indeed.
Check out the celebration or lack of celebration from the players. Only Bellerin and Holding joined Ramsey. Stark contrast to our team now.
They may have gone over to Giroud instead admittedly.
I miss Hector
Two FA Cup Winners for Aaron Tha Clutch Gawd Ramsey
That’s honestly not clutch lol that’s just a goal in a game, and it wasn’t even that late in the match either, still a good 15 minutes of play-time after that.
adjective INFORMAL•US
(in sport) denoting or occurring at a critical situation in which the outcome of a game or competition is at stake.
I feel like a 79th minute winner in an FA Cup Final fits the description personally, but I’ll admit it’s not a word that I use generally.
I’m used to the term from being a basketball guy and 79th minute is probably similar to about 3 to 5 minutes to go in a basketball game. Aka plenty of time for more things to happen. So there’s no caveat of it being a last or close to last opportunity to produce something.
Tbh clutch just doesn’t work well in a sport like football where scoring is much less frequent.
The NBA defines a clutch player as the “player that delivers most when the game is on the line.” Per the league, “clutch time” is defined as the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the score is within 5 points ."
Agree with your last point though
Lol at the nba itself jumping in on a colloquial thing.
You never hear guys scoring a bucket with 2:54 to go being referred to as clutch unless its alongside another 4 or 5 big scores.
Often it’s just the last play or maybe within the last 2 or 3 plays.
But yeah tbh as we said, its hard to apply it to football because the scoring is just so different.
This is wild

that’s actually so lovely, the Ramsey boys together
I kinda get it. He’s been there before for the bag alone at Juve. Sitting on that fat contract, living in Italy.
However, I don’t think it’s all sunshine and rainbows. Club wanted him gone, fans hated, wouldn’t be shocked if some of his teammates hated him.
He should be rich enough by now to just enjoy his final years of football. Back in Wales, back where it started, he may start planning for life after football there too.
