A timely reminder of the games we didnāt win during our āInvinciblesā season:
H Portsmouth 1-1
A Man Utd 0-0
A Charlton 1-1
H Fulham 0-0
A Leicester 1-1
A Everton 1-1
H Man Utd 1-1
A Newcastle 0-0
A Spuds 2-2 (Clinching the title at WHL for a second time - just in case anyone forgot).
A Portsmouth 1-1 (Admittedly a nothing-to-play-for game)
FA Cup
0-1 A Man Utd (semi)
League Cup
1-3 agg v Middlesbrough (semi)
Champions League
0-3 H Inter
0-0 A Lokomotiv Moscow
1-2 A Dynamo Kyiv
2-5 agg Celta Vigo. (round of 16)
Despite some very happy memories of that season, we were far from perfect at times. I have no doubt that given the lack of depth in our squad, going out of the Champions League early probably helped us domestically.
think there were also an additional 2 draws somewhere; as we ended the EPL campaign with 26 wins + 12 draws, but I get your point - our invincibles team were not perfect by any means.
Arsenalās on pace to hit 87-88 points.
For Liverpool to hit 88 points from here, they would need to win 22 out of 24.
Itās completely done for them.
Villa away this Saturday is a beast of a game. Villa and Emery have dented our title hopes in the past and we somehow seem to come up short against them more often than not. Canāt happen this time. Have to find a way to win. Hope Saliba & Trossard are back for this.
Need the big players to put in big performances. No room for slip-ups.
City yet to visit Stamford Bridge and A field and even OT gives an edge to Arsenal but Arsenal have to visit Etihad..which could very well be the decider
We had some serious big dick energy a few weeks ago. Feels like that has reduced a little with the Gabriel and Saliba injuries. Need to recapture that swagger and put on a physical clinic on Emeryās boys.
If Saliba and Rice start we should win it. If Trossard comes back then itās a lock.
I took a prolonged break. Must have been over a year, something like that.
I realised that I was engaging with other people in a judgmental and negative way at times, being dismissive. I was investing too much emotional energy, itās not healthy.
Took a step back, and returning with a different perspective.
We all love Arsenal in our own way, we all want the club to succeed. I hope we manage it this season, and this entire community is united in joy.
