I hate Ticketmaster…are you still in the queue @BergkampsLoveChild
The sold out in 40 seconds shite was bad enough. They have somehow made it even worse
I hate all of them to be fair, the excitement of the 15 mins before and then utter guy drop when you get in to realise there’s tens of thousands of people in front of you
I’m not sure any event that uses this system is remotely worth the hassle
I think for a big concert that uses this system I’ve only ever been successful once. It’s shite as I only ever go to anything that I’m a genuine fan of.
This was for the final Black Sabbath show at villa park, feels like such an opportunity missed as there’s a lot of other bands atte ding that are on my music bucket list.
I’m glad I’ve rarely needed Ticketmaster for gigs. I try to see bands before they play large venues. The Roundhouse is about as big as I can tolerate.
If it’s any consolation, The Swift has been mostly miming through her gigs and most of her band’s parts seem to be pre-recorded with a nice layer of auto-tune for the bits that aren’t.
It’s the imperfections that make live music more enjoyable. As radio god John Peel once said “I don’t see the point of watching a band play exact copies of their records from a mile away”.
Instantly puts me off going to something and I’ll never organise it myself.
The only time I’ve gone is when someone in my friendship group has taken the responsibility on to do it and I just pay them for my ticket.
I simply do not have the patience.
Along the same lines as the thousands that now spend 90% of gigs with their phones in the sir, seeing live music just isn’t what it was and like many social things it’s now usually only for “the gram”.
Spent 90% of said swift concert filming for my Mrs who had one of the best days of her life yes she’s of legal age.
She watches them all the time and loves it all over again. So I’ve stopped judging people so much for filming but I get the point, most are doing it for show.
Robbie Williams showed how it’s really done when he turned up.
Don’t get me wrong I appreciate there will be the odd few who are fans doing it and in all fairness if she had you doing it she’s won a bit there
But I’ve been to a few gigs since covid where the dynamic has changed completely to the point unless it’s someone I desperately want to see I avoid it altogether.
An excuse to use 25x zoom on Taylor swift im not complaining
Right now I am a mule for myself and three other people.
Thus, carpet floors at airports.
Who in the fuck…?
Shrug emoji.
So I’m in the office maybe once or twice a week which is fine. I get along with my colleagues and they’re all decent people. One of my colleagues has had an internal promotion and now works alongside our team helping out with some admin tasks and stuff.
She does not stop talking it’s relentless. It’s genuinely making my brain bleed. I get into work around 8.30 (and everyone else between 9.45-10). She gets in at 9 so she’s spent the last 16 minutes rabbiting on I’ve had to get up and leave the office and sit in the communal area so I can have a break.
How do some people get through the day without being able to read obvious social cues.
My evening was fine. Yes I’ve got a lot of work to do. Yes I went to the gym this morning. Yes I did bring lunch into the office today.
Now let me get on with my damn work lol
Does she chew her food loudly as well?
Yuk, loud eaters.
Thankfully nobody in the office eats at their desk. It’s not a big organisation so for the sake of not stinking up the office people eat in communal areas lol
She sounds like she needs a dead leg.
If I’m based somewhere I will purposely go in 30 mins before everyone else so that I have the opportunity to settle in for the day in silence.
Also utterly hate it when someone can’t take the social cues and when they’re talking at you
She just wants a bit of SRCJJ
Then probably comes back from lunch and farts loudly for the rest of the afternoon.
Concert ticket prices, they’re getting way out of hand.
Saw that disturbed are doing a UK/European tour, wouldn’t mind seeing them…£149… Absolutely not!
