Should be done in 5 mins. Austin should no sell whatever KO gives him, Lou Thesz press from Austin and then a stunner, crowd goes nuts, go home.

Steve Austin wouldn’t come out of retirement to job to Owens at WrestleMania in Texas. He’s not hard for cash, he’s happy and he’s healthy. I just cannot understand why 19 years after retiring he’d turn around and say “yep. Body is old, I’m nearly 60 but this sounds the right time for me to come out of retirement”.
Austin was deeply self critical as a wrestler he quit because he didn’t think his body had it in him anymore and he never wanted to look old and washed in the ring.

The man didn’t want to lay down for Lesnar, even if he somehow wanted to do good by the business I doubt Vince would allow Steve having an L against Kevin.

I love Austin but I don’t want to see him come out of retirement. Like Michaels, his retirement was near perfect and he was still at the height of his powers. I don’t want to see that tarnished. I think we’ve all learned from Undertaker’s quest for a perfect retirement match at that stage of his career the danger of going a match too far.

Yeah, it’s a massive disservice to the tag division. I get that they want to further the 4 pillars story though.

The biggest match at the biggest PPV in wrestling history. If Austin doesn’t turn heel this night - then it’s perfection.
Austin - Rock at X7 is a 5 star match and better than anything wrestling has produced in a long long time. An incredible story, rivalry and subsequent match.
As over as The Rock was he was never more over than Austin at their peaks.
There are nerds out there trying to rewrite history though due to Rock’s current status…
Austin was next level of over back in the day.

To think he was a bigger draw than DX when they were doing their thing and The Rock when he was bursting onto the solo career scene, it’s remarkable.

Yep. The Rock is undoubtedly a bigger mainstream star now but at their peaks Austin was a pop culture icon and the biggest draw in the history of wrestling.
He also had a wider appeal than The Rock did.

This could definitely start a chain reaction within AEW. There are a lot Cody “guys” in that company.
The guy was a freaking EVP, whatever the fuck that meant. WarnerMedia was also very keen on the guy for projects outside wrestling.
