I still think he’s very good, mind you. He’s good when he’s in the ring with anyone. There’s no reason why he can’t win the Rumble and de-throne Reigns who’s a 500-day champion, or whatever.
And the reality is when he does have one it won’t be a very good one lol.
Bray as champion has been a disaster on both occasions, and whilst bookers have to take their share of blame for that it is also down to him too.
As a character he’s best off kept away from the title.
It’s a difficult one- traditionally the Royal Rumble winner always goes on to win the title at WM. Who’s going to take on that push between now and the end of January? I’d like to see it being Bray.
Other option is KO.
(Please not Brock)
Cody
Good shout.
Doesn’t move the needle for me, mind. He’d be bigger than his dad if he wins the title at WM.
Hulk Hogan is my shout to win the rumble, it’s always nice to see the youngsters get a shot
Rhodes is the most common belief among fans. The story is there for Sami Zayn as he has organically gotten over with fans in a big way this year. It won’t be Bray, I don’t think. WWE I think have learned from putting the title on him in the past.
You love to see it
It’s not great as the alternative is dying a slow death. Less choices for the boys, but I’m starting to feel they probably don’t deserve the choice anyway. Most of them didn’t really want AEW to grow in the first place so they shouldn’t complain if it’s no longer around in a few years.
Btw, Cornette is right about the Best of Seven Series being a dumb idea and driving viewers away but he also needs to give more stick to Dax and Bryan not doing particularly good ratings wise themselves.
Can’t blame Dax myself, he’s a tag team guy, a good hand, he’s not supposed to be the draw, but Danielson? The guy has managed to totally tank his worth. He should be one of the company’s biggest stars right now, carrying AEW but he’s too busy booking himself to obscurity.
Yeah I do hate this when you have the predictability of the 7th match actually happening. Witnessing the Elite get booed in Chicago was the main highlight out of the 3 natches thus far (also the potential heel turn of the Death Triangle?)
WWE used to do this a lot, too. Book the champion into a match on the preceding Raw/Smackdown while they are already on the card defending their title in the upcoming PPV. We know the business in itself is predictable, but it shouldn’t be written down and spelt out for us FFS.
called it. Regal going back to work with his son on NXT
If I’m Hunter then KO gets some time eating shit and learning to like it for the next few months.
Pretty positive if Vince was in charge Kevin would be getting buried after injuring Roman with his indy shit.
“Indy shit” it was botched right hand
Nah, it’s the signature slugfest shit that every indy match has and KO loves adding it into his matches.
Not only does his offense look like shit but he’s unsafe as well.
It was a spot where the face and heel exchange fists, to get a response from the crowd. WWE has done that spot countless times lol
Heels almost always call the match, KO took initiative himself in that match and injured Roman.
The spot made no sense at the time.
Fantastic on the mic I’ll give you that but the brother is a poor worker, which is no surprise considering who he’s close to.
I will never forget when AJ Styles was having the years of his life when he came to WWE and was having banger after banger, until he crossed paths with KO of course and every match of theirs sucked.
Calling Kevin Owens a poor worker is such a poor take lol.
Calling Kevin Owens not a poor worker is a poor take lol.
