Btw, this all comes down to what Punk said, and I’ll repeat, he ain’t wrong.
Vince saying he retires via Twitter doesn’t mean shit yet.

NXT was Triple H’s baby as well and when they moved it to TV and made it 2 hours long we got assurances that Triple H was still running it without pressure from Vince.
Well, NXT turned to shit in 2019, got manhandled by AEW to the point where they had to go on Tuesdays to stop the bleeding and then Vince revamped the whole thing and turned into whatever it is now.

Vince has been absent from events before btw but as they say, his spirit is still there. Maybe he lost a couple of his lackeys but ultimately most of the staff and some of the executives still there are his people. Triple H and Stephanie are one phone call away.

Disagree on the top 2.

Slight disagreement on Anna Jay. While I thought she was stagnant a fortnight ago, she might get a push that makes her a little more interesting in AEW now

Is this WWE or the current state of our government?

I like them all and I think AEW is booking most of them right but ultimately, I think if you’re a female wrestler WWE provides you a much bigger platform.

Check the reach the women in WWE have. From the undercard, midcard and main event.
Look at the fanbase the Bellas built. No way they would do that in AEW.

Imagine admitting this publicly. :man_facepalming:

Yea this reeks of desperation. Like pleaseeee hire me lol

You would think he’s going back to WWE now that Triple H has power again. But weirdly, this comment is recent so they may have closed the door on him too.

I was surprised to read he wasn’t with NXT anymore. I thought he was part of the furniture there.

Lmao, I knew this would be taken out of context when I watched the interview a couple of days ago.

Man shows up for the first time since May/June and he got the wrestling fanbase by the balls again, picking up every word that comes out of his mouth.

Tbf, it is a term actually used by wrestlers themselves instead of calling them ā€œdeathā€ matches and whatnot.
I’m sure Moxley and even Darby who’s sitting there don’t mind that. I can see Jericho not liking it though.

TNA in it’s prime had a bit of everything and it still got trashed. I don’t get what makes AEW special for it.

What was the best period of TNA in your opinion?

Late 2006-07. Around the time Angle joined. Genesis 2006 had the famous Angle VS Samoa Joe match (and feud) and the best PPV buy-rate in TNA history behind Bound for Glory 2006 where Sting beat Jeff Jarrett and ended the reign of terror for good. (Incidentally when TNA was becoming better on the average).

Anything Post Jarrett Reign of Terror and Pre-Bischoff & Hogan is an acceptable answer.

They also had the triple threat match between Joe, AJ and Christopher Daniels which Big Dave gave 5 stars.

Oh that’s a good call. Great match.

That period of TNA when they had;

Angle, Joe, Styles, Steiner, Jarrett, Sting, Daniels, Lethal, Beer Money, Booker T, Petey Williams…

Great stuff.

06-09 TNA had some real golden moments was more enjoyable at times than WWE

Aces and Eights era ftw.

Or the time they turned Austin Aries into CM Punk lite in 2012. :sob:

TNA does have plenty of moments who in hindsight now do get a kick out of me. At the time I probably laughed at some of the shit they produced.
Granted, WWE back then actually put out a respectable product.

It also had the Jay Lethal- Ric Flair EPIC promo that @GC-Maniac posted up in here a few months back.

Absolutely the best bit of mic work I’ve seen.

Holy shit, I’ve just heard Gresham used his PWI ranking in the argument with Tony Khan.

I’ll let MJF talk for me here:
