Willian

I don’t harbor resentment like most of OA seem to do against this guy. He seems like a good dood, he really dumped salary to leave when he didn’t have to. I also think he could have been a useful player if we weren’t being managed by a forehead who’s allergic to anything that resembles a cohesive team. Still was a bad signing but don’t blame Willian, blame the #1 dirt pounder EU who offered him above and beyond what other teams were offering and convinced him (lied through his teeth) that Arsenal were winning a champions League by the end of his contract :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Well, he is Edu’s agent as well…

Kia (Willian situation at Arsenal) “He went for the project and the project wasn’t there. What player has gone to Arsenal recently and has not been a disaster?"

Very much looking forward to seeing which of his shit clients he offers us next…

Hate having this dickhead so closely associated with our club full stop, but I could stomach it if we were at least landing some sexy players from his client base.

Instead we get shit players and then have to listen to this prick talking as if he’s employed by the club in some sort of capacity.

Respect to Willian for having some pride and being willing to lose a lot of money for it.

Terrible signing but then again everything Arteta and Edu touch turns out terribly.

Think he’s exposed the con these two are selling to the Koreonkes. The jam tomorrow project is just a load of BS to keep the money hose working.

So, scumbag agent that knows how to fool Arteta and Edu complaining that his lazy client didn’t have things work out at Arsenal?

Maybe Edu will quit signing this clowns dross. Nah, I’m sure edu is listening to him right now to bring the club another Cedric.

Edu and Arteta perhaps couldn’t believe their luck with Willian willing to forego such a huge pile of money

I’ll love to hear the details of his exit and find out how much he has agreed to forgo.

Would be totally fine with praising Willian if he gave up a really significant sum to get out, it would be really refreshing if that’s how it went down. You’d have to assume he’s forfeit some money, but you’d also have to assume the club has had to pay out a fair chunk of what we would have paid him across the next two years.

Or they’re angry they’ll no longer be embezzling funds from that deal.

I’d be genuinely amazed if he’s lost anything at all. We’ll never know the truth though.

He may have even agreed a payment structure that outlasts the original deal itself. Get smaller payments over a longer time frame the way the Mets had Bobby Bonilla Day every year.

Thank you for doing the right thing for Arsenal, Willian. Wish you all the best in Brazil.

We should close this thread now.

No OTD posts?

On this day, ie today, it was one day since Willian had terminated his contract.

I agree. Closed the thread so it can stand forever as a monument to how awful the Willian deal was. Like a time capsule. We can reopen it in two years when his contract would have expired.

Of all the people I might blame for Willian coming here, Willian himself certainly wouldn’t be one. Just glad this is done now.

He wasn’t in an army camp, haha.
If he can go to Dubai, he can visit Brazil.
