William Saliba (2)

Offer us 100m plus Mbappe so that we can so ‘No’

Real Madrid are shit, Saliba saw it first hand himself. No need to move there, playing football on easy mode. Pointless move. Finish your career here, lad.

He isn’t going anywhere this summer!

we are keeping our eyes in Vini and Bellingham’s contract situation as well, and would love to sign them in their last year of contact for an affordable amount, or as a free agent.

Can’t stand dealing with Spanish and Italian heavyweight clubs in the transfer market, they’re so dodgy.

Only Real Madrid has that kind of pull. Fair enough to them to be honest.

If Saliba walks away with a title I wouldn’t mind it either.

If we got him until 2027 and we win some trophies over the next 2 years then I won’t be mad. We’d have had him on the books for 8 years with 5 full seasons out of him by that point.

He’s a premium talent I’m sure eventually he’ll want to test himself at a different club

I don’t really see any other way for big players at major PL sides to get moves to the continent if that’s what they want except on a free. Madrid, Barcelona et al just can’t financially compel PL teams to sell.

This is the same Madrid that paid this much for these players?

If they want him, they better pay us full whack or fuck off.

If Saliba doesn’t sign a new contract its not up to us

The thing is, it would be negligent of Saliba to not sign a new deal. Let’s say he gets put on an extra 100k a week and gets a 5m signing on fee. That’s 15m pounds over the next two years. Or, he could turn it down in the hope that he’s still wanted by Madrid in 24 months.

If he wants to leave down the line, sign a four year deal with clauses. Am not really worried about the prospect of him leaving on a free.

Not a single one of those transfers from the last five years from an English team. Even the Bellingham one - if you put that on the table for a PL player at a top side, all of them could easily say no.

Depends what his priorities are, I guess.

I’d like to think to not cause a shitstorm at his current club and get a huge pay rise in the process.

What’s changed in the last 5 years that prevents English teams from accepting £100m+ bids from Real Madrid for their top players?

Other than Isak and one or two others, I don’t see many £100m players in the EPL that could improve their team considerably.

Is Real financially weaker now than they were before 2020? Surely £100m now, was worth much less 5 years ago.

I thought Real were the richest club in the world.

They are absolutely ballin. However, even in their pomp, they rarely paid huge money. Figo was probably the eye opener. I know they broke world records for Zidane and C.Ron but neither seemed to be exuberant fee.

Bellingham was around 100m and I believe they bod over that for Mbappe two summers ago. In terms of Premier League players, Madrid need neither but they’d splash big on Isak, Haaland or Foden. I also think they would splash on Saka or Palmer.
