I don’t get how the French press benefits from this. If it’s clicks they have hundreds of other names that are far more popular to use.
Someone is trying to push out a narrative here. I can’t see it being the club as the last thing they want is this distraction, and they already went to the French media to debunk these stories and even had Arteta publicly address it.
So it’s either driven by Saliba and his entourage, Marseille or some other club trying to destabilise the player in hopes of getting him.
Reputable media wouldn’t. We’ve seen reputable media report on this. Having Arsenal come in to dispute the rumours and Arteta himself to address it makes them look bad.
Sometimes they share their personal views on things and have thrown shade at us before.
They also have been caught for not actually knowing what they’re talking about.
I believe they once did an analysis on Gabriel. Robbie from AFTV invited someone from GFFN(I think the guy runs the account actually) over to talk about Gabriel and the guy thought Gabriel was right footed.
