Wilfried Zaha

‘In a perfect world’

Man City £62m for Rodri —> Atletico £70m for Lacazette —> Arsenal £70m for Zaha —> Palace :money_mouth_face:

Talks of your seventy million limit for Zaha should be taken with a pinch of salt too, you oblivious hack cunt.

:eyes: @Maverick79

David Ornstein…more like Fraudstein :-1:

The club are throwing that out there acting like paupers in order to get more bang for their buck because the whole squad pretty much needs changing we have money and we are trying to stretch what we can do with said funds, people believe this line far too easily!

70m for Zaha.

Really don’t know how I feel about us paying that for him lol…

Kind of like that moment that your realize your nausea is getting the better of you…

I don’t understand anyone wanting to sell Laca or Auba…we should be buying other quality additions to play with them!

Zaha for £70m would represent around 18-20% of our turnover. I still think it’s a huge price but that’s the reality we live in y’all.

From Reddit.

“In 2000/01 we spent 20% of our turnover on Wiltord, another 20% on Jeffers, 14% on Lauren and 13% on Pires that would be like spending £70million each on two players and then £48million and £45million. That’s 47% of our turnover, so like spending £162million in todays window. Henry and Overmars were 18%, that’s £63million today. Sourced the past turnovers from here (1995/96 matches with the Independents article so it bodes well for the rest being accurate)”

Gotcha. My apologies for getting lost in the comedic translation.

It wasn’t necessarily obvious mate, no worries!

out of all them mentioned he is on a par with Jeffers. Fuck this deal altogether ffs.

Spending £70m on Zaha is up there with the £92m Lemar transfer.

I’m absolutely certain we signed Jefferss the following season, in 2001/02, ahead of that campaign.

I know it’s not crucial to the point, but I’m a pedantic nob like that

Zaha is a way cooler player than Lemar ever was. Lemar was the French Theo Walcott and he was lucky to play in such a talented Monaco team.

Lemar is better than Zaha lol

I’d like to have Zaha and all the growing up an Arsenal supporter and dreaming of playing for the club stuff is nice, but £70 million seems far too steep a price, even in this ridiculous market. But if they really want Zaha and can buy him without sacrificing or skimping on other areas which I think should be more of a priority, then who am I to complain? But I don’t think they’ll go that high. Maybe £60 million, which is still way out of line. But I will trust that they know what they’re doing until they prove they don’t.

Lemar > Zaha

Lemar’s shit. All hype just like Martial. Zaha gets things done

If the two bids/potential transfers were made at the same time I’d agree. Even since that crazy Lemar bid inflation has been a bitch, the going rate is now l higher than it was even then imo, making this sum less ridiculous than that Lemar bid was.

Richarlison goes for fifty million, Sigurdsson for forty five etc. Now Zaha could go for seventy million.

This bid would definitely be a little crazy. That one was outright mental.

We could have signed Julian Brandt, he went to Borussia for €25m, that’s the bargain of the season. I know these German kids tend to get homesick, but in my book 1 Brandt >>>> 4 Zahas. He was one of the most exciting players from the German NT at the WC. Maybe if we still had Sven, he could have done something about it.
