Wilfried Zaha

Don’t think it’s huge but definitely not 45 mil. Even the ones who have reported it reiterate that this is what the club is saying, implying it’s probably a smokescreen.

But would any of the other top 6 want him?
Man City - no
Liverpool - possibly, but more likely to go for younger talent, and he’d only be going as backup to Mane
Spurs - possibly, but probably as backup to Son given how well he’s been playing and how popular he is
Chelsea - transfer ban
Man United - already have too many high paid options on the left wing

So barring him going abroad, I guess it’s whether he wants to be playing first team football…

You couldn’t be more wrong my friend

Takin the dildo in the ear like a boss. doesnt even look in the direction the dildo is coming from :arteta:

Signing Zaha probably puts us above Spurs, Man Utd and Chelsea. No even joking.
Even if we just sign Saliba, Tierney and Zaha but leave RB and CM unaddressed we should still be winning EL and finish 3rd at the very least.
Good thing is, Unai’s putting his job on the line for this. He does well, Arsenal gains. He fucks up, the bum can go.

Positive this is a big influence. Zaha probably has some scars from the Man Utd stint. I reckon Zaha’s camp have already spoken with Unai, who likely assured him a main spot in the team.

Do we need Zaha ? Possibly. Do we need a better defence ? Definitely…wants are many, needs are few.

Zaha transforms your attacking flexibility. I’m all for balance but we won’t be the first unbalanced team that can pull off the job.
Look at Madrid, shit defence but they had a madness up front. Obviously I’m not saying that we’re on their level but comparatively investing in an even better attack in spite of defensive capacity has been a thing that has worked in football multiple times.

It’s read by people who prefer sound bites and pictures to anything in depth and it’s written by people who know this.
It’s owned by a right wing shyster who has more influence on their readers than any politician.

Man City and Liverpool probably don’t need him
He’s already tried Man U
Chelsea have a transfer ban and spurs already have enough Arsenal supporters playing for them.
I think the fact he wants to play for us is one of the best things about this transfer, if it happens.

When I see AWB, it reminds me of the Average White Band.

Tierney and Zaha would be one of the best left sides in the top 6. Only City and Liverpool could beat it imo.

It’s summer and I want fucking signings so I’m fully on board with the FIFA merchant now @LordBendtner

Is he a real proven Prem talent though. Not for me, he is a 20 percent improvement on Iwobi and dont see him bringing anything much different to this squad.
Tbh I think he will be exactly the sort of player who we have to many of all ready and not very driven but be popular with the lads.
Flat as fuck about it tbh.

I’d be so done with his club again if they buckle for the demands of Crystal fucking Palace and pay anything over 40.

I was so excited/curious for Arsenal after it was announced Wenger was leaving. But first we hire an Barcelona-cunt, then we hire Emery, obviously the season how it progressed and now all this hassling for a mediocre player as the marquee signing.

What is this 3 fids business?

I’m curious as to why we’ve only made our first bid for Zaha in early July. Why didn’t this bid go in weeks ago? If he is clearly our main target, we should have been at this stage ages ago.

I think we should be spending our money on defence rather than attack, but to suggest Zaha isn’t that much better than Iwobi is laughable.

Zaha is able to win games on his own. I’ve don’t recall ever seeing Iwobi do that.

40 million quid is a fair bid for this one trick pony pace merchant, but no way Palace will sell him for anything around what he’s worth.

Ashley Barnes does that as well. The Iwobi point stands.
