Iāve turned level 9 and thereās a billion unexplored areas. Little bit overwhelming but focusing on doing quests that are my level. Iāve read that you get shitty XP if you do them too late

Red Alert 3 campaign mode. Just realised I never played this title. Clocked all C&C titles except this one. Fucking love it has Tim Curry and JK Simmons in it

I used to play all of the Red Alert/C&C games religiously with my friends 3 doors down in their basement where they had a 3rd guest computer set up on their LAN.
Lucy Lawless was in it as well and Jenny McCarthy, what a cast haha
It was fucking amazing, every day after school was a LAN party. God it was awesome.

Yeah we were having some crazy nostalgia moments the other day in a group chat, was so funny thinking about all the crazy shit we used to do in those games haha
When you asked this question originally, I tried really hard to remember and thought it was Charles Dance. Then I thought I had just made it up, because I think every bad guy sounds like Charles Dance. Now I know itās him, adds a lot more gravitas to the dialogue. Paying the cunt too much respect as though he was Tywin Lannister.
Iāve rinsed the shit out of this, all the way up to level 25 now. Missus falls asleep around 11, then Iāve been playing until like 1am/2am constantly. It was a real slog to get to level 15 or so, but the experience points on the main quest line absolutely rocket you up the levels. Cheated a bit to find out where some of the feline gear was, but other than that have just been randomly exploring. Dopamine as fuck whenever I find a valuable weapon or a good diagram.
Iām saving the main quest line for now, got to the battle at Kaer Morhen. Will focus on Skellige question marks as more challenging there. Got the two expansion packs to do as well, feels like Iāve got loads more to get done in this game.
Itās up there with Oblivion for me as the best game Iāve played of this genre. The crafting and skill point systems are simple and immersive (I cheer like a bitch whenever I find red mutagens).
Also, Yen all the way. Brexit means Brexit, do one Triss

@Cristo @Electrifying Thought I was the big bollock on campus by going up against an unknown level archgriffin on some random Skellige island.
Got the fucker down to half health after ages, but then got impatient with the āheavy hit then run like a coward tacticā. Reduced my health almost to zero with one of those big wing sweep things. I ran away to my boat, and the cunt swooped down and whooped my ass to death. Happened to me twice now, where they fucking chase you for ages without realising. The bitch in me came out when the griffin screeched out of nowhere and killed me

Finished Blood and Wine yesterday. Was way better than Heart of Stone. Got the ribbon which protected Syanna by complete accident - didnāt mean to buy it off that annoying brat in Fairyland.
Got the ending where both the Duchess and Syanna die. I always try to reconcile people but seems I picked the wrong option. My boy Regis was an excellent companion throughout though, superb voice acting and made the main quest line so much more immersive.
I feel like Iām done now, my guy is Level 50 or 51, got the grandmaster crafted feline gear (dyed it red and black), got the fancy Toussant armour from Fairyland as well. Started upgrading the Ursine set but lost interest. Pimped out my crib/garden to the max, hanging all my nice armour and swords, got Yen chilling on some bench in the garden. Donāt have any urge to continue with the side quests now.
Excellent, excellent game, one of my favourites of all time. Iāve spent many hours getting to this point and feels really satisfying. Actually thought Blood and Wine was better than the original quest line involving Ciri.

Separate to the above, I also played God of War. Itās not really open world like Witcher 3, but the benefit being that the visuals are absolutely stunning. The best looking game Iāve ever played I think.
Personally, I preferred God of War 3 as that story felt more epic and massive in scale. Plus, I love Greek mythology so the Titan and god fights were more compelling for me.
I was hoping for a massive boss fight with one of the main Norse gods but was disappointed. Suspect that is coming in the next installment on PS5.
Nevertheless, it was really jaw dropping at times e.g. the world serpent and the dead giant quest, but just didnāt have the same consistency as GoW 3.
Still, an amazing experience. GoW 3 is probably my favourite game of all time so not matching that level is no slight to this game which is still incredible.
