What was the last film you watched?

I heard it was another Netflix stinker along the lines on Bright and Rebel Moon.

Not seen those but it hit all the right notes for me. Good story, likable characters, Stanley Tucci and Giancarlo Esposito, robots. Top marks.

Took my daughter to see the Lilo & Stitch remake today, for those interested in family films. My daughter is a huge fan of Stitch and this went down fantastically. It had a bit more about it than most of the Disney live action remakes. The original Stitch voice actor is in it and the girl who plays Lilo smashed it.

Yeah this is the one live action remake that I actually had high hopes for.

Glad you and your daughter enjoyed it! My wife and I rewatched the original animated version last year for the first time since it came out and we loved it - we’re quite keen to go see it in the cinema lol

It changed the story a bit but I felt it retained the soul. They cast it really well. I would have preferred Cobra Bubbles to retain his best lines though

Not sure these were the best choices today to cheer me up, but both are exceptionally good films…

First up was Kill List…unsettlingly and edgy with a chilling ending. I would recommend it, as it’s well worth a watch.

Second up was Eden Lake. Not watched this for ages and wanted to revisit it. I remember feeling pretty depressed and angry after the first time, and the film managed to achieve the same result. While not a classic, it is certainly one which is worth a watch.

Mate, these two films are some of the very best that Britain has made since 2000.

Ghostbusters 1+2… I’m just gonna say it, I didn’t think they were especially good.

Heathen!

Lol…

I honestly don’t see how Female Ghostbusters could’ve been worse. But then again, it does have Melissa McCarthy, so…

I wouldn’t go as high as 9. Not even 8. I think i’m too cynical. I’m won’t try and criticise too much what’s going to be a very successful film anyway though.

Full credit for the final sequence though - classic Cruise madness, one for the ages.

They peaked at Fallout
