Yes. The Godfather 3 is considered so bad that you end up watching it and think “this is actually underrated”. The original storyline, had Robert Duvall eaten humble pie over his money share, was supposedly going to be a belter. All about a power struggle between Michael and Tom.
Yep. Seems a little harsh but that’s how I judge it. How I’d have loved for Terminator to stop at Judgement Day. They ruined that legacy by actually making a third (then a fourth, then a fifth…and a sixth).
One “franchise” that didn’t have a bad fourth instalment was Rambo, I felt. The kill count on that- incredible! (And then they made a fifth where my guy Rambo was literally ripping out man’s throat and shit. Shudder)
Nothing beats First Blood.
My legs! I can’t feel my legs!
@Phoebica you’re the go-to person for cheesy romcoms.
This one any good?
Nothing Compares. Sinead O’connor documentary.
Brilliant and uplifting film of a brilliant singer and woman staying true to herself and values. 10/10
@Jesseviolin get on it mate.
Definitely putting this on my what to watch list
I watched this one for work
I liked it, but I think a lot of people will find it a bit silly. It does really dumb down Romeo and Juliet/Shakespeare, but I just saw it as a bit of fun.
Predator 2.
Lots of fun, glad I watched it, but there’s a big old gap in quality between this and the original, unlike Alien and Aliens.
It did have Gary Busey in it though. First one didn’t have Gary Motherfucking Busey, did it?
If u like Gary Busey then watch Under Siege
Watched ‘Mrs Harris goes to Paris’ the other night
Excellent easy watch type of film
Massively enjoyed it, it was just what I needed at that particular moment so it was perfect.
Would recommend, although know it wont be for everyone.
Remake of All Quiet On The Western Front. Very tastefully done with strong observance of the source material
Easily a 8.3 and already a top 10 war movie in my eyes
It’s a pretty brutal film too. Pulls no punches.
Yeah, agreed, I’ve seen some people suggest some elements weren’t necessary but I think it wasn’t over done at all
Can imagine if you’re in secondary school watching this it’ll visualise the actual realities and horrors of WW1 combat
Watched The Business last night
A very young Danny Dyer, an absolute classic really.
Enjoyed re watching after all that time!
I think the bird in that used to be in Grange Hill lol
Yep, wouldnt surprise me
Has that look about her
An enjoyable film coming at the tail end of the Danny Dyer era British gangster/hooligan films.
The genre definitely got played out with some awful films being made, but I kinda miss that era anyway. Football Factory is still class lol
lol
Absolutely
They have the aura of being rubbish films, but as you say they were from that era and when we look back upon that time these films have a positive place in memories of us who grew up around those years.
The menu 8/10
Great film with a great cast. I would recommend avoid spoilers.
Your christmas or mine 6/10
Would watch this again in future christmas seasons.
Sprited (appletv) 7/10
Abit like scrooged where they did something different with a christmas carole. Tho its a musical none off its music is going to be stuck in ur head.
