I’ve started this too, first few episodes have been pretty cool. Not a big Karate Kid fan but it’s pretty nostalgic of that era of film making.

I think the Karate Kid series missed a trick.
Given how good Karate Kid 1 was and how good the Cobra Kai show is turning out to be, they could have made Karate Kid 2 and 3 so much better back in the day (therefore not needing the spin off series we have now)
What to do team gain from being on there? Surely the millions gained by featuring isn’t worth the distraction to the manager or first team

2 was good but 3 was awful. But I love that cobra kai is focusing on them older and how after 39 years they still hate each other. Tho they could do focusing less on the kids.

Don’t get me wrong, 2 and 3 are still excellent family films by today’s standards (the ice-breaking scene in 2 and Mr Miyagi taking on Barnes, Kreese and Silver in 3 still make me smile)
However, the first one is perhaps in my top 5 films of all time. The drama, the score and the actual emotion Karate Kid 1 evokes is incredible

Watching Love Island with my wife. They have the contestants trapped on a roof at a Vegas hotel instead of the usual beach resort. I guess COVID derailed their plans. It looks absolutely miserable.

Rewatched the first series of The Boys this weekend in preparation for series 2 dropping on Friday.
So fucking excited after seeing the end to series 1 again, got me so hyped for the continuation of this story.
