This was a winnable game and we fucked it as usual on a comedy error. Emery deserves stick for not having any creativity in the MF. At least have Ozil on the bench for fuck sake. If you aren’t gonna play him then sell his ass.
I seriously don’t know where he thought the creativity was gonna come from? Iwobi? Like WTF was this dude thinking? Average ass Ramsey came on and made an impact. I can only imagine what Ozil would have done. Game was crying out for him.
Lack of real formation and organisation. Players running around out of position. Attack easily nullified. Players careless in possession. Players not winning the ball back quick enough.
If we actually had wingers and a no.10 the one striker system would be perfect, but the squads such a fucking shambles it honestly doesn’t matter if you play one striker, two strikers or twelve strikers, we’re fucking shit regardless.
Emery lack of prem experience is worrying. If he can think that he can build squad by protecting a non league centre half and leaving 2 solid cm players on bench he may as well fuck off now
Said it that West Ham would beat us, not surprised. We were shocking today, I thought Auba was a disgrace, he needs to look himself in the mirror. No effort at all. Laca huffed and puffed but he faded as the game went on. Our defense is crap, but we know that already. Our midfield lacked the battle and the last ball was poor. With games coming up with Chelsea, Utd and City, it could be getting worse then better anytime soon.
This team won’t get top 4 through the PL, it’s too hit and miss and we lack quality. EL is looking more important with every game, even there I don’t fancy us. FA CUP run might be needed again to stop the whole season from been pointless.
We’re not getting top four because all the other clubs, including Man U, are better than us and I have found recently that I’m more excited about spurs losing than us winning.
I thought that under a new manager things would be interesting, and to be fair they were for a while, but Emery seems just as stubborn as Wenger and, just like when Wenger was here, our season is written off just over half way through it.
A few more performances and results like this and I’m sure we will start hearing rumours of players like Torreira and Aubameyang becoming disillusioned and wanting to move elsewhere, like when Wenger was here.
