Vinai Venkatesham

I bet United poached him like they did with our doctor.

i reckon that he has been told in reality they will not be considering him going forward and they are looking elsewhere. We have been doing so bad on our commercial side with the size of our club. We shouldn’t be struggling as much as we are to get sponsors through the door if anything people should be begging to come in.

Does he get a testimonial game? :grinning:

Considering him for what? He’s already the CEO.

i mean he will not be considered in his position anymore going forward they have probably got someone else lined up because he has not been performing well enough.

I kinda doubt it. That doesn’t really sound very Arsenal to me. Raul obviously got the boot cos he was a shady twat. Vinai increased revenue and saw us through COVID etc. I can’t see them being unhappy with the job he has done. My guess would be we will see him at the top of an even bigger company soon.

tbh when you look at his work over 14 years i dont think he has done anything incredible here especially for how big Arsenal is as a brand. Maybe i am being harsh :man_shrugging:

No I don’t think so either but that’s how these things go. He hasn’t had any fuck ups which will go a long way.

I just don’t think of him in any particular way and will retain that even when he goes. Not really much to think about.

I’ve always liked Vinai, the way he carried himself during the 14-year banter era (2008-1H-2022) is commendable. These last 18 months have been excellent, but I’m not sure how much he contributed to our on-field success; perhaps in terms of recruitment.

Seemed to have a great relationship with the board, the managers and the players; hopefully we can win some silverware to send him off with.

I’ll miss this shit-eating grin, that’s for sure.

Doubt he’ll be a big loss. Cheerio.

It’s the replacement who will determine the consequence of this change.
Vinai is part of the team that changed the direction of the club post Emery. Vinai was actively responsible for bringing Arteta to the club and make it comfortable for Arteta to prosper.

If the replacement doesn’t continue that, then it will be a bad transition.

This! I’m surprised so many are treating this like nothing news. The CEO of Arsenal Football Club is crucial to our success as they’re responsible for bringing the right leadership team in, including who the manager is.

I’m sure there will be a good succession plan in place though.

Yea we have like 9 months to figure this out. It really would be ridiculous to be worrying about it.

Unless they employ Todd Bohley I’m gonna remain pretty chill.

It’s also entirely possible someone internal like Tim Lewis takes over.
