I’ve come to peace with either result.

Man Utd win, laugh at Spurs.
Spurs win, laugh at Man Utd.

Will not entertain either of them flexing winning this iteration of EL to me while they’re sitting right above the relegation zone.

I never will.

United must win.

It might be a small trophy but spurs have won nothing for ages and it should stay that way, also it stops them getting 100m to spend on new players.

All I know is that whatever happens, we’ll be the team that’s somehow gonna be the most talked about.

It’s a shame we aren’t shit enough to be in this competition; we’d probably actually win some silverware

Fuck sake what a massive sliding door moment :joy:

If Tottenham win, someone will start an Arsenal version of this

Public execution for the 22.5% please

Not that shocking that there is a subset that prefers Man Utd losing.
With how global our fanbase is, the rivalry with Spurs doesn’t apply as much to foreign fans.
If anything, the biggest rivalry they know is with Man Utd or Chelsea.

Don’t forget Newcastle!

It absolutely should.

You can’t just pick your rivalry lol

Ngl I fucking hate Newcastle now. They have gotten what they wanted :joy:

Yup, I would prefer United to win here for sure but its definitely different being an Arsenal supporter outside the UK.

For the most part, US supporters picked their team in the last 20 years. You get all types but overall the worst US fanbases are Chelsea, United, or City because its largely glory hunters who picked them when they were on top. Then the more decent sensible people tended to pick Arsenal or Liverpool and the weirdos who are a little broken in the head or who were attracted to the idea of supporting the “lovable loser” picked Spurs. You don’t get the same level of pure wankery that you do from UK Spurs supporters.

None of this justifies rooting for Spurs tonight mind you.

For me, I have supported Arsenal since 1987 and in that time Spuds have been largely irrelevant (an FA cup and league cup is all I recall of any substance) - I can respect the rivalry but I have far more loathing for Liverpool than I do Spuds.

This is genuinely shocking to me. Not knocking you, each to their own and all that, but I never thought I’d hear a gooner say that.

Man U, maybe Chelsea, but never Liverpool lol.

Been thinking about this.

The only way I could have found something funny about totnum winning the EL, would have been if Leverkusen had won the Bundesliga this year again.

Doesn’t @DavidHillier also hate Liverpool?
