I can’t keep up with all the different genders for example.

I’m pretty tolerant of the whole call yourself whatever you like mindset but I haven’t got a clue what most of it means, nor do I have to cos it never, ever, ever effects my life in any material way.

Yeah I don’t understand the opposition to calling people what they ask to be called. I doubt anyone expects others to know by heart and recognize their particular gender pronoun—that’s just an absurd scenario that if ever has only occurred in isolated incidents.
It’s pretty easy. I had a case involving someone who identified as a woman and their lawyer just told me up front, “hey just so you know, my client identifies as a woman and prefers using the pronouns she/her.” It was really that simple.
And just in case you think these were just two squishy liberal lawyers talking about stuff, the attorney told the judge who was an old white dude who was like “oh, okay” and immediately referred to the person as “ma’am”

Well that is easy, because in that scenario it’s kept to the binary pronouns of she/he, and you have advanced notice of the preferences of the client 
All of this is new to most humans, and as such there must be space to get things wrong without being accused of being a ‘phobe’ or ‘misgendering’.
I have absolutely no problem with it either but when I see thousands of people criticising a fairly liberal person like J K Rowling, some of them even advocating burning her books, it goes too far.
I was told recently it was racist to describe a western genre of film as having cowboys and Indians because they should be described as Native Americans.
There are hundreds of examples everywhere and if you think yhis sort of left wing political correctness is going to gain them votes, I can assure you it’s not.
I’ve never voted anything other than for the left or Liberal and that won’t change but I know a lot of people who are fed up with being fed a constant stream of how we should talk and behave in case we offend someone else, when offending someone is the last thing they would do.

The issue is that left and right are completely obsolete terms now.
And I wish the media cottoned on to that.
I would say there are 4 groups of people.
Those that campaign for financial equality AND social group rights e.g. abortion, same-sex marriage, trans rights etc.
2 groups that want only one of those things.
And those that are conservative in terms of either.
The current ‘left wing’ doesn’t cater to the financial equality but social conservative group at all. And anyone that does is cancelled long before they can even argue their points. They then get hoovered up by the all conservative group. They are not a small number, and that is how you have things like trump, brexit, northern Tory majorities.
The current left wing caters to social equality first, and to financial equality to varying degrees depending on how ‘centrist’ the guys in charge would be.
When the people in charge take note and account for these people then we may see some actual progress.

not. These organisations can only hold their facade for so long. Eventually there’s always internal fighting, which leads to neonazi groups splitting up and the whole movement gets weakened by it. Thankfully the members IQ is low enough to not understand this.

The only way to top this is Trump officially launching his 2024 campaign the day of the inauguration. I think there’s a good shot he does that. He can spend four years having rallies, constant media coverage from OANN and grifting off his base.
You’re absolutely right, it’s been surreal! I heard that the second season will have Joe Biden as president. Will be a little bit lame, second season syndrome I guess. But so far, it’s been quite entertaining. Looking forward to the season finale on Jan 20.
