This dipshit wants Iran to keep the Strait open for everyone whilst he keeps his naval blockade of Iranian ports ongoing lol.

It’s Trump’s trademark 5d chess isn’t it?

Shut the straights so hard that they’re open for business while trying but failing to blockade the ports with US navy ships that are only there in Trump’s mind ensuring that this war that’s over continues into a second month.

Even the insiders who were profiting from his Truth Social posts must be getting whiplash by now.

Buying time for the ground troops to get there.

It’s pretty obvious at this stage that the Israeli lobby will not let him take his foot off the gas

A cynic could suggest that Israel is using a useful idiot to convince him to send in non-Israeli troops to act as cannon fodder in order to damage an Israeli enemy.

Then lets that idiot take the blame when a bloody battle ensues. You’d have to be very stupid to fall for such a trick. It can’t be Trump though because his devotees say he’s a genius.

Donald Trump is a pussy and Iran found out they can grab him…I mean, he just lets them do it.

When you’re famous they just let you do it.

I wonder how the right wing British Trumpies will spin this? xD

They won’t. They’ll wait to see what position Farage takes and parrot what he said. “FACT”, “I’m just asking questions”, “It’s just another attempt to undo Brexit” etc.

You know Reform will get in, it’ll be a complete shitshow, and the supporters are going to sound just like Trump supporters. The mental gymnastics they will have to perform in order to keep it up will be astonishing to watch.

Only if there is an election this year

And given the Tories had no problem foisting a new leader on us without “going to the country”, I’ll hope that Starmer’s imminent departure doesn’t lead to a General Election.

I don’t feel like the party who won the election should be obligated legally or otherwise to call a GE because they change their leader. We vote for our local representatives and the party with the highest seats get to govern - switching out party leaders (and therefore PMs) is fine by me.

Absolutely, my fear was that Labour would commit political suicide by calling a General Election. It seems highly unlikely but then they have been an utter shambles. Which isn’t reassuring.

Fixed terms are fine with me in terms of the Prime Minister/ruling party. As you say, we vote for our local MP not the PM.
