Glad they’re there. Nice show of support. It’s in our best interests to get this war wrapped-up asap. I totally agree with helping to arm Ukraine but we really can’t afford to do it indefinitely.
But also wrapped up in a way that doesn’t mean we (Ukraine and the rest of Europe) are fighting a much bigger one in a few years time.

Seems to have gone much better this time. Maybe the arrival of 7 European leaders took some pressure off both of them. If Putin did fuck Trump over as has been suggested he’ll be happier to leave it to others, then claim it was his idea and still take a victory lap for it.

Alex Jones (who admittedly is a liar and a grifter) has been one of a few political correspondents in the US who are saying that Trump’s in a bad way health-wise. Trump himself said on Fox “They say I’m not doing so well” which makes a huge change to his usual “I’m the healthiest man on the planet” attitude.
The thing is, he does look very unwell at the moment. I know just normal health issues can take their toll in your late 70s. He’s been gradually losing his mental dexterity over the last 10 years but with his old bestie Jones begging POTUS to take it easy and look after himself it does seem that he’s in sharp decline.
Thing is, Trump is a narcissist who wants to be a dictator and to fix elections so he can remain in power forever, but JD Vance seems like a whole new level of insane. How are our American forum members feeling about this interesting development? Better the devil you know, than Vance taking the reigns?

Every time there’s a photo op you can see the smudged makeup trying to hide the bruising on his hands and swollen legs which suggests he’s on blood thinners and potentially also IVs for medication or hydration.

For Jones this follows his usual pattern of fear mongering. In this case to his pro-Trump audience and maybe to Trump himself.
As far as I’m concerned this is just wishful thinking that his day is close. During the pandemic there was speculation he was deathly ill but of course he’s the prez and gets all kinds of exclusive treatments us plebs don’t.
As for Vance—he’s clearly got Peter Theils arm up his rectum. Say what you want about felon 47, his oafish charisma and reptilian instincts are what keep the MAGA coalition together. Vance has negative charisma. If the legions of hell finally drag trump down to his permanent home I doubt Vance will be able to manage the insane Republican base.

Apparently “Trump is dead” was trending on social media earlier. I doubt very much that’s the case but it is weird.
Actually pretty dictator like behaviour.
He’s had some bad poll results and a loss in the courts, he’s just in hiding.
Though he’s definitely been saying some odd things lately and he’s looking pretty ropey, even for him.
