There’s people on all shades of the political spectrum on here.
I often take a break from the political forums because life’s too short and I’m here mostly for the football banter. I would recommend you doing the same if it’s getting to you and you’re finding people as daft as me hard work. I’m not even “far left”, I’ve voted Tory, Lib Dem, Labour and Green over the years. I’m currently a member of the Green Party. I’m not even a socialist, I work for a global insurance firm from their office in the City of London. The most “opposite” thing about me is that I’m an atheist but just to blur the lines, I refereed in the North Essex Church League for 12 years and still have friends from those days.
Let me know what I’ve not answered to your satisfaction and I’ll try my hardest to give you a sensible response. If I ever seem glib it’s because I believe satire is the best way of dealing with tough subjects.
Talking with people who don’t share beliefs is a good way for all of us to learn, my best mate is pretty far-right and a Reform voter. I love him to bits, we have some strong debates, but nothing breaks that 45 year friendship.
I can see it going that way , this place has lost everything that once made it great. It ain’t the OA that Sosh brought into this world

It doesn’t offend me but I just want to point out that in your comments to me earlier (which you will see I’ve responded to in a perfectly adult manner, happy for you to get back to me with any questions you may have) you said “keep your replies sensible and have a good argument without name calling and the sarcasism”.
I’m not point scoring but I genuinely don’t know what your rules of engagement are now. If you want me to poke fun at those on the far right like you just have to “all the leftie crying again”, I’ll be more than happy to.

By all means poke fun at the far right but people who believe in brexit, support Trump to an extent are not far right. Far right are the mob who go round attacking immigrants, believe the British white race is the supreme race, and hate all foreigners. People like Tommy Robinson are far right, and I am not of the same mindset of him. But I am moderate right wing so we can talk about Trump and most of his bullshit but I do firmly believe when it comes to Ukraine he has the right idea

Going by 2004 return thread, where he made a big thing pointing out his politics, looks like that was his main reason for returning.
I tend to stay clear of all political talk on here nowadays, but was intrigued by the reasons behind the ban for 2004 so had a look through his recent comments.
Perhaps he should’ve stayed clear as well.

We probably have many, many things in common. There are plenty in here that have disagreed with me over the years, you should see the comments I get when I defend a referee’s performance!
I look forward to learning more about you in the music section (music is my big love), discussing recipes, films and I’m sure we’ll both be poking fun or screaming with frustration at our PM at some point. There is, thankfully, so much more to life than politics.
