A cynic (not me of course) could suggest that given that he was struggling to pick a side a couple of days ago that this is less a victory for peace and more a case of TACO Trump in full effect.

Israel lying again.
Israel’s defence minister says he has instructed the military to “respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran.”
Israel Katz’s comments appear to have come before the military detected Iranian missiles in northern Israel a short while ago (see last post).
It is unclear at this stage which Iranian strikes he is referring to, although medics say five people were killed in Beer Sheba overnight after missiles fired by Tehran.
Iranian state media has responded to Israel’s accusations, saying Iran denies reports that it fired a missile at Israel after the ceasefire began.
Of course they didn’t. Wouldn’t be the first time Israel has either made something up or fired them on themselves to justify their military action

The problem with Trump, Vance and Rubio is their underlying approach to zero foreign policy is highly flawed and very binary. That’s true of US foreign policy generally but at least previous administrations attempted to be genuine diplomats.
Their egos from being stewards of the US power and influence exceed any diplomatic talent they have. They seem to be very distractible with policy failures all over the world.
