Personally, It’s one of the best interviews I have ever seen.
Being sacked by Fox has been amazing for Tucker. Just shows how much journalistic integrity is compromised if you are governed by network demands.
If we can somehow take away the need to appease the masses, you can get some more of such interviews.
For Cruz it’s a huge embarrassment but Tucker scored allot of points with it.
Having said that, I do agree with @sevchenko , Tucker is a cackling piece of human waste who got excommunicated by FOX News and is now finding a way to gain an audience with the ultra-nationalist wing of the Republican base via implied antisemitism.
He’s a piece of shit but did a good job on an equally putrid bag of scum water.
The interview was a sham with high levels of intellectual dishonesty on both sides, more so from Tucker. Cruz himself when starts talking nonsense about Ukraine sounded dumb but it went unchallenged because Tucker is a compromised Russian stooge.
If your opposed to US support of Israel, blind hawkism in congress or interventionism as it relates to Iran that fine but there’s no way to can call Tucker a honest broker or think that Interview was an example of journalistic integrity
Who did that though?
I was suggesting that Tucker wouldn’t have done all this if he was with Fox and it shows that the network news channel horribly suppress their interviewers
You see this across the spectrum of TV news presenters (I’m refusing to call Fucker a journalist) and it’s because of editorial control. Emily Maitlis was a great example of someone who was constrained by having a board room of Tories running the BBC. I’ve no doubt that her crowning glory (sorry, pun there, as you’ll see) interview making “Prince” Andrew look like the toffy-nosed paedo that he is contributed to the BBC not renewing her contract.
Now she’s with The News Agents podcast she’s able to ask the difficult questions without worrying about the call for a meeting on the top floor at Broadcasting House. Old news media is dying anyway.
I can see why it seemed like I was attributing Tucker with journalistic integrity but to clarify that second sentence was generalised.
I don’t think Tucker has a lot of journalistic integrity. He is compromised but thankfully not enough that he pulled off this interview.
Just a quick look through the news this morning;
Heatwave over.
PM wants a say over who can and can’t play at Glastonbury.
Ollie Pope gets a century v India.
Russian economy struggling.
Did I miss anything?
Oh yes, Trump starts World War 3 by bombing Iran just 2 minutes after saying they had 2 weeks to come to the negotiating table.
Funding and fighting 2 world wars destroyed Britain’s position as the global superpower. Being Netanyahu’s own personal Orange gimp may have finished off the US as the global superpower.
I wonder if this factors into his decision making? Distract from his lameduckedness domestically by starting a foreign war. Wouldn’t be the first time someone has done this.
