I’ve taken to reading CNN for an American perspective on Trump’s various chaos and it can be quite entertaining because CNN hates him and you get really catty passages like this:
The reason would be Trump says to deport him.
He wasn’t positing a likely scenario, just a could it happen. And in the America of today, yes it could.

CNN aired Good Night, Good Luck - a broadway play with George Clooney the other day. Was quite cool to see a very expensive, record-breaking Broadway play like that.
It tells the story of a CBS News journalist, Edward R. Murrow, battling it out against Senator Joseph McCarthy during the so-called Red Scare. It ended with this monologue and compilation of news story footage - the last of which is the footage of Musk doing his wave/salute.
They really love that 'Murica democracy stuff. It reminds me of that famous scene from Newsroom where the panelists throb themselves off about freedom as if they believe America is the only place that has it - only to be told by a pissed off interlocutor that quite a lot of places have it, actually.

My favourite part is people only know the well known ones. The USA’s fangs stretched even into to Jamaica. An elected (twice) Socialist government was undermined because the USA didn’t like it’s friendliness to Soviets/Cuba. This is despite Manley disliking Communist ideology.*
*Tad more nuanced and complicated than that but the point is USA didn’t care about Jamaica’s democracy once it became inconvenient.
Many more out there I recall @Electrifying bringing up Pakistan once.
