Transfer Wishlist

we were linked to him in the summer though but nothing concrete :henry2:

Alvarez would be an unreal signing but can’t see us being able to drop 100m+ on him and Havertz is 100% getting a new deal anyway.

Already looking at the next striker we’re gonna bring is crazy.

Havertz plus 60m for Alvarez - let’s get it done!

He’s the ultimate wish list player. Could play with Gyokeres as well.

We’re acting like a big club again. We now have the squad. We are getting our best players signed up to new contracts. In future transfer windows we need to now replace the weakest players in the squad. I think there will be a conversation about the striker position.

I really rate him. Done well for City. I could see him playing at Arsenal. I think he was a Berta signing too!

If that’s the case then it means all our strikers shat the bed so I’d prefer not thinking that for now.

Jesus has been a failure. Havertz, although I rate him and think he can do a job upfront, is not an out and out striker, and Gyokeres has it all to prove. The need for a conversation, feels like when rather than if…

You’re free to chat about it, that’s what’s the forum for. I just think it’s far too early.

Alvarez has been in good form though, I will agree with that.

Jesus operated at the highest level I’ve seen any attacking player at Arsenal operate at since prime Sanchez. Guy was an absolute beast. Unfortunate his body broke down on us and he never recovered.

Still wouldn’t call him a failure though.

I agree with you in respect of Jesus’s and Zinchenko’s first season at Arsenal. Unfortunately for Jesus his injuries have limited him minutes, but even when fit in subsequent seasons, he hasn’t delivered for us. Hence why I would regard him as a failure overall during his time at Arsenal.

Dude wasn’t even able to stay prime for one season with Arsenal, and you put him the same bracket with Sanchez?

My friend - I said he operated at the highest level of any of our attacking players that we’ve had SINCE Sanchez. I didn’t say he was as good as Sanchez or that he played football that was so good he deserved to be mentioned in the same category of elite talent.

Jesus raised the level when he joined us but referring to him as elite is simply wrong. There is a reason City were prepared to let him go!

Are you taking the piss?

I’m gonna have an aneurysm tonight if I keep posting

About Jesus? No! I’m not sure anyone could say that he’s an elite player! Utter nonsense!

I don’t think you read that properly.

Ok. But still not sure what @SRCJJ is on about. Jesus still has to be regarded as a failure at Arsenal.

He doesn’t. He’s been directly referenced alongside Zinchenko by both the manager and their teammates as the players that helped change the culture in the team and pushed us into becoming title challengers.

They were incredible in that first season, majority of the fanbase still looks back at that period as the best football we’ve played under Mikel.

Injuries or better players have phased them out of the team but that doesn’t mean they were failures.

Just to clarify, I don’t think anyone(apart from @Truth_hurts probably ) is arguing that Jesus shouldn’t leave within the next year.

Not me. I think Jesus is wonderfully talented. Think he has use this season but next summer or even January should be the end of his journey here.
