Should we give the credit to Jesus and Zinny? Or Xhaka?

Or Prime Odegaard? Or Martinelli on a purple patch?

Or Arteta using the right tactics for this group of players?

I see this as collective reasons, because the following season we score more goals and got more points; while Xhaka was gone, Jesus got hurt, Zinny played less and Martinelli started his slump. Not one individual stood out to be the main reason we had good football in 22-23 season.

I agree completely in respect of their first seasons at Arsenal, however neither of them have had the same influence in their subsequent seasons at Arsenal. Despite their influence in the first season, they have become irrelevant in the current squad and therefore I struggle to consider them as anything but failures, as neither are in the first team plans going forward.

You can give credit to whoever you want. They players and the gaffer himself gave credit to those two so if you want to argue, argue with them.

By that logic everyone will be deemed a failure by the time they’re replaced.

It doesn’t matter how good Jesus is because he’s one of the highest paid players but never plays so replacing him with a quality attacker like Alvarez would be great business.

Did Arteta not give credit to others, like Xhaka and Odegaard?

Not that I’m aware of. Zinchenko and Jesus have been specifically referenced for changing the mindset of the team when they arrived.

I believe Arteta recently gave Zinchenko his flowers again for it after he left for Forest.

No. Plenty of players like Gabriel, Rice, and Odegaard that have kept their places in the first team. Jesus and Zinchenko are both in danger of being regarded as one season wonders.

We got 6-8 months of good form from Jesus at best. That’s a terrible return unfortunately. I wouldn’t be surprised if we look at the ST area again even if Gyokeres bangs 25 EPL goals.

We all know Havertz, Jesus, Trossard ain’t at the required level. I give them all 18 months max, before they’re shipped out - new contract given or not.

Julian Alvarez please

Did disappear a bit after that barrage of 3 goals but before that fucking hell.

Dude was helping out defensively, he was contributing in their build up from the back, he was serving others and then he was having a go at the keeper himself.

Top, top performance. Him and Saka were the best players on the pitch.

Alvarez would be the final piece. He’d be perfect on the left or just behind Gyokeres.

Would rather him than even Leao or Rodrygo.

100% agree. He was a menace! Could see him in our team.

would he even come back to the EPL tho….i am not sure he was happy in England or maybe it was because Pep was using him like an idiot.

Think it was a little bit of both.

Still think it’s too early to be talking about a striker target?

For me yeah, but you’re free to do so. Others have done so as well so you’re not alone.

He’d play with Gyokeres. Jesus, Havertz and Trossard out. Can possibly even use one as a makeweight.

Imagine a front 3 of Alvarez, Gyokeres and Saka.

Next Chelsea raid

Funny story about this lad, back in May he said in an interview that his dream is to play for Portugal in the World Cup next year alongside Ronaldo.
Couple weeks later he switched allegiance to Belgium.
