Thomas Partey

I woke up and the first thing I thought about was that shot and I’m in a mood again

Go to jail, get sold. Don’t care. Just get a proper replacement in the summer.

Honestly the shot was frustrating but getting over played for me.
Overall last couple of game performances are the main issue.

The shot seemed like a bit of frustration from him which is disappointing because he’s supposed to be one of the senior leaders in the team.

He’s been awful the last month and it could not have come at a worse time.

Partey has been left out to dry with Saliba injury.

Against Southampton, he was over-run in midfield with ZERO support. He had to do all the work because Vieira was literally everywhere the ball wasn’t and was playing too high up. Odegaard then didn’t fall back to compensate for Vieira’s positional ignorance. Partey is forced to sit further back to help Rob Holding’s inadequacies and so is like the lamb to the slaughter.

From the stands it was obvious it needed changing, and Vieira should have been brought off for either Trossard or Jorginho from the 15th-20th minute.

Partey’s drop in form coincides with Saliba’s injury, because he is having to sacrifice himself. Yes he has made mistakes, but IMO is being expected to do too much in the last few games.

The shot at the end of the Southampton game was frustrating and he should not be doing that at all in that moment and should know better.

Saliba’s injury doesn’t make him juggle the ball right outside his own box.

Over 90 mins across the game sure, it can have a huge impact, but his key mistakes have been two purely individual lapses in concentration and over confidence.

If he had just played a bit shit without the errors then it wouldn’t have been so significant. Probably would have 2 more points.

It is mad how quick things flip in football.

Partey has to turn it around completely at the Etihad.

Quality player, he’s not Rodri though.

People like to overrate Rodri a lot at times. He was average in his first season, to the point where people were questioning his transfer. He’s been great since his second season at City but he still has the occasional blunder from him.

We’re not talking about some perfect being here. Partey had the better season imo.

As a footballer, I actually rate Partey a bit higher. As a, DM, think Rodri is the total package.

If Rodri was playing for us every week we’d find some flaws too.

Shit pass from Odegaard. But do you plan on just ball watching the entire game?

Been shit at the business end. Hope we sign Rice who is stepping up big time for West ham when it matters.

It was an awful sequence. Lethargic pass from Xhaka to Odegaard, Odegaard lethargically passing it back somewhere around Partey, Partey just couldn’t bother track back. He was giving instructions to Holding, lol.

Midfield has been a disgrace, watching old a fuck Gundogan steam through and sprint away from everyone in the opening ten minutes I knew we were in for pain

He is a pretender

Fairweather player who turns to shite when the pressure is amped up, he’s had a very good season but overall he isn’t dependable down the stretch when you need to dig deep. His mental isn’t up to scratch

KDB running off Partey for the first goal.

Partey fouling Haaland for the free kick for Stone goal.

Partey cba to catch up with KDB for the third.

Needs a break from playing as our #6.

He’s cooked. Whether it’s because of the injuries or off the field stuff who knows. Isn’t reliable over a full season. You look at Rodricunt for city and just know that guy is a machine over the 9 months.
