Thomas Partey

That’s good 8 min I am willing to part ways.
Love Partey’s dribbling, second favourite to Santi

Well it;s not dribbling per say but the way he nullifies potential challenges…such a great reader of opponents

I thought he was goodish but unspectacular initially and not up to expectations for the price but lately he’s looking just like 50m midfielder should.

Really like him now. Probably helps that those around him are playing well. Makes everyone shine more.

Partey is sensational. Looks like he plays with a wallhack, knows who is behind him and the exact moment to pivot / drag back / carry forward / let the ball run etc.

You cannot teach that level of composure and awareness. Very, very rare skillset.

Have we finally found someone that has the football to replace Pires Sol?

Mr. Twinings Tey Consortium, Shoulder Feint Extraordinaire.

If you talk about how effective a first touch is, just look at how he uses that and takes multiple guys out of the picture in one move. Ødegaard has a similar level of touch and you can see why these two are striking up a chemistry because of that.

He’s such a great player to have, one that will age like fine wine too.

Will Partey score from open play?

Will Partey Score with his feet from open play?
  • Yes, this season
  • Yes, in another season
  • No, he’ll leave Arsenal with only headers

Arteta’s potential downfall has always been his backing and double standards with Xhaka. This info., if true, means Xhaka likely is going nowhere this summer and will remain a key player under Arteta. I still don’t think we’re getting the best from Partey because of the need to adjust for, and accommodate, Xhaka. We’re not getting the Atletico Partey who was able to dominate Liverpool b cause of this.

You went with a pie chart?

I think we should ban pie charts. @Bl1nk ?

I agree, you weren’t off, he was unspectacular. It has taken a little bit of time for him to settle in. He was solid for Atlético and the only worry was maybe how much of that was part of Simeone’s rigid style and how much he could bring with him here, it’s slowly coming in now imo. And we need it

This guy was exceptional today, Odegaard is rightly getting a lot of the attention but Partey ran the show from minute one.

He’s just a ridiculously good midfielder. He was built for any league and any team. He blends physicality and class so well that he’s just nearly faultless to watch.

Such a good performance. Great player when he’s in this vein of form.

Think he is the best midfielder in the league at the moment.

How did we get a free hit at this guy? lol

Him and Ø have single handedly transformed our midfield after a very shakey opening spell here

According to his father we didn’t.
Him and his father are certainly gooners. Glad he got his dream move and we get to enjoy him at his peak.

You know they’re good when even Xhaka can play this advanced CM role and not look an absolute clown. Imagine watching him there with Ceballos and Elneny. Would be horrendous

Atletico had no intention of selling that much is clear.
