Thomas Partey

Were you ever really even an Artetasexual to begin with?

Would never be like you to go against A4tt and all his Arsenemania

I have receipts

@Castiel thinks he is the CEO of Artetasexuals but you are in the grey zone buddy.
Get off your high horse

Nah that’s MissredNL, people like yourself are only Artetasexual when things are going well, you were quiet when the entire forum were slagging into Mikel on a daily basis. Half the people in that shit poll can’t even stand Arteta lmao, and the other half are now big fans.

blah blah blah, come back when you have receipts

A true Artetasexual would never throw his comrades under the bus like you did there. Look at all those poor bastards you exposed you monster.

That’s nothing. The day we secure Top 4, I am calling all of them out publicly

Really? I personally was looking for greatness vs. my biased eye towards Xhaka was always ā€œlooking for the stupid mistakeā€.

I think objectively Partey wasn’t great early on… he was injured, uneven performances and passing, just looked off… he has taken it to a totally new level imho. Maybe he was a little bit victim of high expectations, but i think that is equally reasonable.

I think most people were all in on the Partey train and just disappointed that he wasn’t delivering the goods.

I’m not saying that Partey didn’t have inconsistencies in his game but I just think people were a little harsh on him, no one wanted to give him time to adapt or acknowledge that the games he played poorly we were woeful as a team. Everything was about his price tag which wasn’t his fault.

I’m obviously a huge fan of the player and have been since before he came here so I’m going to cut him slack but for me he never looked as bad as people claimed, from day one I’ve understood and appreciated what he tries to do for the team and I don’t understand how some people can watch a player of this class and not see what he offers. Yes he might play a stray pass from time to time but everything he does is courageous and forward thinking. He’s without a doubt the best combative midfielder we’ve had at this club in a very long time. This combination he’s had with Odegaard isn’t just something recent either this has been in the workings for literally months.

Even things like his shooting which I can appreciate wind people up, it will come, he has it in his locker. Arteta mentioned to the press how he consistently scores worldies in training. He just needs one.

Yeh he’s just a player for me- and a few others on here- who has never been a doubt or a question mark. The talent, the application, it’s all been there from day one, all he needed was a little consistency and more consistency and cohesion as a team. Which we have now and no one would want to imagine our team without him.

People were harsh as he came as a 27/28 year old in his prime, I think if he was 21/22 when he arrived people would have been nowhere near as harsh with his inconsistencies.

Ultimately though in the last couple of months it’s great to see consistency and continuity resulting in the Partey we need and expected.

Dude came from a different country into one of the worst Arsenal sides in decades and was immediately hit by injury. Also not to mention he made the move during peak Covid era which was a strange time. I’m not sure if being 27 really accounts for the fact that he should immediately be able to take this league by storm. He also had some mighty fine performances early in his Arsenal career like United away if I remember right. Or Spurs early in the season this year. Most people just seem to gloss over these matches as though they never happened. Not to mention he’s usually pivotal if not flashy against the lower league teams.

Some people just didn’t seem to take to him or get what he was about. Pretty clear now though I suppose

I like Partey dude I’m just saying when the expectations are high and the talent is clear people are likely to be more harsh.

I agree the COVID interruptions, disjointed team and own body continuity didn’t help.

Hopefully he stays healthy continued recent form for the remainder of the season as he has been super since December.

Partey came in and paired with Xhaka and then fucking Dani boy.
I mean that’s a big ask in anyone’s book.

Imagine he had Cuntouzi next to him as well… It would have ended his career

I forget regarding the last match. Has it remained Xhaka doing a bit of a Torreira further up the pitch while Partey is now deeper?

not for the entire duration of the match. For most parts Xhaka was on left side of the pitch

I love how smoothly and swiftly he slides past players despite his big size. So easy on the eye.
