Thomas Partey (5)

He was sloppy in moments but classy on the ball most of the time.

Partey is always neat on the ball. Usually super confident in him, but yesterday, he was taking heavy touches around the box. Nearly got tackled by Ayew.

Partey has arguably been the player of the season until Nwaneri emerged.

  1. Gabriel
  2. Partey
  3. Saka

Would be my top 3 of the season to date.

I can’t disagree with that order. Those 3 have been sensational. I wonder how many assists Saka would have by now if not for the injury.

I had been drinking last night, but my point (which I stand by) was in respect of his concentration rather than his consistency. He has generally been consistent and put in some excellent performances, but equally he has more and more lapses in concentration that have either led to a goal or could have. Yesterday, his mistake at 1:07 of the highlights below, almost led to Leicester going 1-0 up, had it not been for that excellent interception by MLS. I don’t blame Timber. Even if Timber hadn’t started to make a forward run, the pass from Partey was behind him.

Fark off Charles

I mean he’s our best midfielder but I absolutely understand the reluctance to extend given his age, injury history and the salary he commands.

But his departure leaves a huge hole in our midfield and we would definitely need some serious investment.

But are we gonna give him an eye watering deal?

I do feel this summer is the correct time to part ways. Even if he has been our best midfielder this season. We need to rebuild

With the season he’s putting out, I reckon there will be a quite a few top teams interested in signing him for free btw.

Edit: I’ve just read the article. I don’t rate Charles much but he seems to have sources close to Partey. I can definitely buy the Barca link, does feel like your typical Barca move.

Is he out of contract this summer? Because with legal matters unresolved I can certainly see why we wouldn’t renew.

Yeah, have you just realised that?

Yeah. I don’t spend that much time scrutinising Arsenal contracts. Not sure why that’s surprising?

I vaguely thought he had another year on it.

It’s time to Partey ways.

Well, sounds like you missed all the discussion in here this season.
It’s mainly been people debating whether we hand him a new deal or not.

Important game, the big man starts.

The Partey’s not over yet.

Wouldn’t have been given by VAR if the ref didn’t give it but still dumb to have his arm out like that.

Yea lets not renew his contract
