Makes you think when ConeBoy Arteta was being considered too.
Think about how exciting it would have been though⌠The unknown âŚ
Itâs going to be funny seeing Henry and Neville, two failed managers on Sky lecturing top managers on what they should be doing.
No not really. If the choice was between Arteta and Emery the preference would have been Arteta. Donât put words in peopleâs mouth.
I think my sarcasm went over your head on my post
Iâm not putting anything into anyoneâs mouths. It was meant to be taken fairly light heartedâŚ
How on earth can you seriously say this? Please
If a legend flops, then a non-legend would be a huge success imo.
SD seems to be having trouble with this today
I think this is a good example of why top players often donât make top managers.
They just assume in their gut that each player should be as good as they were, and they canât find a way to manage a squad that isnât always going to be full of the quality necessary at all times. When they see mistakes being made on the pitch that they perhaps wouldnât have made themselves as a player, they attack their players rather than try to empathize with them.
Tbf, anyone couldâve guessed Henry wasnât gonna cut it. Doubt he will turn into a solid coach/manager unless he literally transforms as a person. Spewed some absolute nonsense during his analyses on TV. His thoughts were all over the place. Plus, he is a cocky SOB and it showed at Monaco.
Him and Patrick get a big L from Arsene. Dude gave them a career and they thought they were over him. Jokes on you boys. Ainât that easy.
What?
Not really surprising given his obvious total lack of commitment to being a top level manager. He chose punditry over a coaching role at Arsenal, took a part time assistant role at Belgium and then went into a club that was very difficult to begin your career with due to the obvious current instability.
Heâs always struck me as quite an arrogant man so Iâm not surprised to read he lost the entire squad with his behaviour.
Didnât they also spend time with junior/ B teams before getting their first managerial gigs, unlike Henry who jumped into the first glamourous opportunity he found.
I guess you cant blame him for being arrogant enough to think he was up to the job if they were silly enough to actually offer him it.
I still donât really get why. Didnât he leave Monaco when he was like 21? Surely heâs nowhere near a legend there and if he hasnât been there for 20 years itâs not exactly like he âknows the clubâ which is basically the only justification given for giving management jobs to ex players.
I hope he doesnât give up, but I have a feeling this probably wasnât a very fun time for him so I could see why heâd think a decent wage for 2 days work at Sky would be enough for him.
Itâll happen for you one day mate, plenty of fish in the sea and all that
Patrick didnât see eye to eye with Wenger. I think everyone knows that. Henry wasnât that vocal about ii buy he has been critical of Arsene during his pundit days, acting like he knew how to solve our issues. Guess it ainât that easy.
Are they claiming to be better managers than he is or something? I still donât understand your point.
Joshâs Instagram story and he has Henry and Evra with him. Listen to Thierry absolutely ruin Senderos twice in a few seconds
Henry won a BBC vote on the greatest overseas player in the PL era.
Even if he was pretty bollocks on his first go as a manager, nobody can ever touch his playing career.
You can shove your Agueroâs and Silvaâs up your fucking bondh (arse) - Thierry is the
