It was very, very wrong to dismiss us.

My predicition was our win with double digit point difference over City and not Liverpool, I may be wrong…

Felt like the handbrake was off tonight and several players were coming into their peak at just the right time.

Exactly what I thought after Saturday’s game. We needed a spark, this evening none of them looked tired in the first half, recently we’ve started fast then faded after 20 mins.

Successful seasons need a few unlikely players to step-up to get us over the line. Though he didn’t come on that 16 year old on the bench had a significant effect on tonight’s game, as did an improving Eze.

Check the predictions thread bruv, ya boy Bav knew these cunts weren’t going back to back.

Please ignore my prediction that City would win though. Thank u

I’m still hoping no-one can remember my suggestion that Odegaard is one of the best midfielders in the world, just before his career was derailed by injuries and a massive loss of form.

I’ll be alright so long as I don’t bring it to anyone’s attention.

It was also true.

Both Murphy and Jordan very complimentary about us but not Obi Mikel.

He was.
And I still have full faith that a fully fit can reach that level again.

It’s funny how everyone has been taking turns taking shots at John Obi Mikel.

I swear him jumping on the bandwagon with that dumb narrative was an indicator for people to jump off. :sob:

Think everyone had this moment….

I could be just seeing what I want to see but I think we turned a corner these last two matches. Despite needing the late heroics, our performance against Everton was actually much improved from the previous run of matches. They’re just a very good side and it didn’t quite come off for us in the final third until the very end. And that Leverkusen performance was so much more fluid and confident.

I think its also big that these two matches were at the Emirates and the stadium was jumping. We played 11 of our last 17 away in all comps for some reason, which is just a grind. We need that home energy and home form to help carry us to the finish line.

Barring any injuries from last night, we have a full squad minus Merino to choose from.

Careful rotation of full backs and subbing off key players at the 60-70 minute mark is going to be key.

The only thing that is going to stop us from the league is an injury crisis. The momentum is back, the focus is back, the energy is back.

We have the squad to stay fresh. Great to have Tross back, hopefully Martin gets some minutes for Norway. Then we have Madueke, Martinelli, Saka, Dowman, Eze, Havertz and even Jesus - so many options.

Protect the fitness of the fullbacks, protect Rice’s fitness, rotate the attackers - we’re right on the cusp.

When was the last time Arsenal or any club, leading League by a good margin going into April.

Final of Carabao and if there is no upset, Minimum SF of FACup and UCL.

Man City 20-21 were way ahead in the league, into the Carabao Cup final against Spurs, and facing Everton in the FA Cup quarters and Dortmund in the CL quarters.

But I agree we’re in a great position!

Don’t forget spurs near the relegation places, Chelsea with a manager who’s out of his depth, Liverpool with a clueless manager and Man City looking at a points deduction.

Also our attacking players hitting good form and Dowman as the icing on the cake.

Agree with everything you said.

Certain guys need to step up though. Jesus and Havertz in particular.

We’re going to need everyone to contribute something.

Agreed. These two need to start justifying their fat salaries and produce some moments.

According to her, we’re the best of a bad bunch.
