So when I used to say everyone is on our case and hates us and PGMOL will do their best to ruin it for us now everyone is beginning to see it from the refs to the pundits to other players - FCK EM ALL WE ARE THE ARSENAL !!!
Why does this matter?
A bit concerned by the lack of control in games this season. We’re putting way too much pressure on our defense allowing opposing teams to get into our final third with ease.
At this stage with the number of high importance games we need to take the load off of our back four.
This attack also needs a kick up the ass. Teams should have to worry about us scoring.
Every game shouldn’t induce a potential heart attack.
We were massively in control today though
We were a bit shakey in the first 10-20 mins but honestly beyond their goal, our defence was fairly untroubled.
After our second goal the engines turned off.
And to think there’s still about 20 games left in all comps to play between now and end of May.
19 after the Mansfield game and assuming we make it all the way in FA Cup and CL. Still so much football to be played, 19 cup finals of which 3 may be actual cup finals.
Hopefully the recent week off does wonders for Rice, Saliba and Gabriel and fingers crossed Ode comes back nice and fresh.
We are poised to have an incredible end to the season. However, we need to rotate and rest effectively over the next 6-8 weeks. We have the deepest squad to do this.
Barring Rice and Raya, we have good enough backup to every single position. We went for depth over ceiling raisers in the summer. Make it count now.
I also want to see loads of fake injuries in that last international break. If Rice and Saka play multiple full 90s, I might start a GoFundMe to have Tuchel assassinated.
I thought the week off before the Chelsea match would have done wonders but it didn’t do much. It’s surely better than no rest but it feels like they need a couple of weeks off.
They won’t do it with the world cup coming up but a few staying put for the international break would be ideal.
I guess Dubai is fucked for now.
If we win the quadruple, the charity shield should be Arsenal A vs Arsenal B.
The quad talk is crazy but a domestic double matches anything I’ve ever seen at Arsenal. Fancy it now and that definitely was not the case, post Wolves.
City’s “second team” wiped the floor with Newcastle.
Whilst City are not the era-defining greatness of a few years ago, they still have the best manager in the world and a very good squad. Just behind us after the Semenyo and Guehi signings.
They aren’t going to lie down. However, their mentality and quality isn’t the same level we competed with 2 years ago. On paper and based on results so far this season, we are the best team. They are capable of drawing against Forest at home.
But they remain dangerous and we need to be at our own best.
Crazy couple of months coming up. My heart ain’t ready
The collective trauma we are about to suffer is something.
Are you implying we’ll bottle it?
No
Strangely, City are showing more signs of cracking than us. I’m with you though: it won’t all be smooth sailing from here but we have a real chance to sink them this month. Win our next two home games and deal with them at Wembley. That should break them.
Beat Everton and the pressure will be on them.
We just gotta do our job.
Beat. Everton.
Arsenal 1-1 Everton
